Got this in the mail today. Took two seconds to mount it to assure you for microphone that I needed to mount to a phone mount. Works perfectly. Was looking for something to hold my flash on the tripod tightly, but there should be a warning that if you screw it too tightly it will bend the electronic connections at the base of the flash. I can use my flash remote, but no longer works on my camera because of the damaged contacts. A bummer to ruin a $400 flash! Be very careful if you buy this! I wish there had been a warning on the packaging.

The problem I had was that the flash of my camera did not come out completely due to the little space between the Pulse and the base of the camera. This adapter solved the problem. And to make it perfect an extra adapter was attached. Total cost for this modification was less than $ 20.

I have and have used a variety of cold shoes.Literally got this yesterday, and have not had a chance to use it yet.But this cold shoe seems well made and I will be using it on my flash bracket next time I take pics.I've had the unfortunate experience of flash falling out of flash shoe - fortunately off camera flash cord prevented flash from hitting the floor.

Didn't last one day. Top part stripped immediately and made it unstable. Anything heavier than a tiny plastic light could not be safely attached.
