Very effective and easy to install
We have used this product for many years as a hack to keep our residential refrigerator door in our RV from flying open while driving. Unfortunately, with living and storing our RV in the desert, plastic does not last forever, and our prior unit finally broke. I was not looking forward to removing the old unit and installing a new one. But despite how firmly the old unit adhered to the refrigerator all this years, it was reasonably easy to remove per the instructions. The unit also has a very nice measuring tool, making sizing the new unit to the refrigerator fairly trivial. A really simple, well made solution. So glad they still make these and I was able to easily replace the old unit.

Fridge lock that keeps kids out, looks good, and easy to install!
Why does it seem like toddlers are freakishly strong?! My daughter has somehow managed to figure out how to open the fridge and then proceeds to rearrange the contents. Needless to say, I needed to find something to keep her from pulling everything from the bottom of the fridge onto the floor in my kitchen. There are several companies out there that make these “multi-locks” that just seem like a complete waste, and I read reviews about them failing – either the adhesive came off or the plastic broke. I happened to stumble on this during one of my middle of the night shopping sessions on Amazon. I liked that the adhesive part is on the cross panel INSIDE the fridge, instead of on the outside. The other bonus was that it comes in Chrome to match my Stainless fridge nicely. This was super simple to install and the best part was watching my husband get very confused when he wasn’t able to open the fridge! (Us moms have to find some small things to keep us entertained!) The “mushroom cap” takes a little work to figure out how to clamp both prongs at the same time to release, but I got the hang of it pretty quick. I also like that it comes with a storage post you can mount directly onto the fridge with adhesive.

Unusable
One of the most useless items I’ve ever bought from Amazon. After installing it, I took it apart and threw it in the trash. I’m writing this to warn you not to waste your money on this garbage, low-quality product. There are plenty of high-quality, functional products on the market that you can find with a little research.

Useful, effective
The instructions are crap, but this is a surprisingly good product.

Scratches
This was super easy to install and it worked well. However, it scratches the stainless steel easily. I have a 21 month old and just the 3 days we had it on made enough scratches that I took it right off. I’m renting and do not want to have to worry about a totally ruined fridge door when we leave.

Amazing
I live in a camper full time and I recently got a residential fridge. First time I moved my camper with the new fridge my doors were open when we finally stopped I had to replace everything. This product is amazing. Had no issues at all. Worked amazingly. Kept my doors and freezer closed the whole drive

Greatest invention in the history of child-proofing!
This amazing little button would be worthy of 6 stars, but for one major flaw: The adhesive strip fails on textured surfaces...like most refrigerators, otherwise this is perhaps the greatest invention in the entire history of "Child-proofing". Even the smaller locks for cupboards beat the heck out of those horrible knuckle busting cupboard locks...and while the adhesive dots work well on a perfectly smooth cupboard surface, the strip provided for this larger refrigerator lock simply does not hold on a textured surface, and unless you have stainless appliances, you most likely have textured surfaces. The overall design of this lock is pure genius, but that adheasive? A total fail, so, I am working on redsigning that piece right now, because I have a special needs nine year old in the house, and keeping the reforgerator closed has become a full time job ever since she managed to yank the entire adheasive strip clean off the refrigeartor. When I get my pull-off proof design finished, I will let you know. In the mean time, if you are simply trying to keep a toddler from opening the fridge every time he walks past, grab one of these locks while they are in stock! You can thank me later!

Do not try to use this for an RV fridge
I purchased this Fridge/Freezer lock to keep the doors of my residential 3-door appliance securely closed while in transit in my RV. I applied the lock to the fridge frame as directed, several days before I was due to leave on a trip. The first time used though, I arrived at my destination to open the doors of the camper and find items from the fridge strewn across the floor and some beverage cans broken open on the floor. My bottom freezer drawer was gaping open and the fridge door not held closed by the center island was swung completely open as well. The lock was on the floor. The adhesion didn't work and the lock came right out, leaving the fridge unsecured for the entire journey.I can't speak to how this would work as a child lock, but it didn't work as an RV residential fridge lock.
