Fun Costumes Shiny Skull Mascot Mouth Mover Mask - Hinged Jaw with Mesh Eye Openings

I was concerned when I received the shipping box minutes ago. It was bad, the box looks like it was in a car accident. I didn’t have faith that the product was in one piece. Thank the gods it was unscathed from its street gang beat down. Anyway, the mask is made of hard plastic with tons of detail. The color of the mask is an off white or bone color. If you have a big long face, this probably won’t fit. The moving jaw works well with some tightening of the mask straps. I used a bobby pin to pull the straps together and hold them in place. This mask is part of my nine year old’s costume. She loves it and didn’t want to take it off. This mask was worth the purchase. I’ve seen cheap rubber masks of lesser quality for more money.

I read the reviews for this product and expected to receive a mask that was cracked or broken, had misaligned pieces and/or was missing grommets. Based on the photos, I thought I would have to add a tan wash to the front to tone down the bright white color. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what I was sent. First, it’s important to recognize that some of the problems others had with this product may have been due to handling rather than the way it was manufactured. I was lucky. The mask arrived undamaged (though it was missing part of a grommet – easily fixed however, using a brass paper fastener). The color looks exactly like bleached bone. The mandible moves up and down when I move my own lower jaw. It’s larger than life – which makes the wearer’s head look large – but you need to remember that the mask represents something that is inside the head, so it has to be large enough to cover the outside. Since the mask is made of plastic rather than latex, sweating on the inside will be minimal. There are some odd seams that can be seen on the mandible on both sides of the teeth, but these are not very noticeable and could probably be minimized by using sandpaper. Overall, despite a few shortcomings, this product was better than expected, especially for the price!

perfect hard shell to work off of. slightly oversized but it wasn't a problem. the strap isn't adjustable but you can easily create your own. as you can see in the pictures i totally customized mine with some latex and blood paint. the effect is perfect and exactly what i was going for

Not bad at all. I really like it except that one of the jaw rivets popped out during shipping I assume.

I have a pretty small head and while this mask fits, it's not a tight enough fit to get a good working movement out of the mouth. Sewing the straps tighter seems to have worked to resolve this issue, but it would be nice if the strap behind the head was adjustable. Other than this one issue, I have no complaints with this mask. The foam inside makes it comfortable to wear for long periods of time and it is so lightweight and breathable that I don't find myself sweating under it.

Fantastic purchase! A key component to my favorite Halloween costume ever. The moving jaw is just so much fun. My mask was high quality, and a perfect fit for my head. I had no discomfort whatsoever wearing it. The netting for visibility isn't bad either! I've definitely worn worse masks for vision. Highly recommend.

Broke immediately. One of the bolts came off where the jaw hinges to the rest of it.
