Brother XM2701 27-Stitch Sewing Machine and Hard Plastic Storage and Carry Case

One thing I LOVE is the 27 built-in stitches. From the decorative ones that add flair to little projects, to the dependable zigzag and stretch stitches for clothing repairs — it’s all here. The 1-step auto-size buttonhole is pure magic. What used to take me forever is now done in seconds. And let’s talk about portability. The hard plastic case is sturdy, with a strong handle and secure latches — so whether I'm taking it to a sewing class or just storing it safely at home, I feel confident my machine is protected. It’s also lightweight, yet it doesn’t feel flimsy. It stays put when I sew, and the free arm feature is perfect for cuffs and sleeves — I didn’t even realize how much I needed that until I used it! I’ve now made a few tote bags, fixed up old clothes, and even started a quilt (still in progress!). This machine has truly unlocked a creative side of me I didn’t know existed. My machine came on time with no issues. Everything that was supposed to be there was. I hadn’t used a sewing machine in many years, but this one is a breeze to set up and get going. I felt like a beginner at first, but quickly started feeling like a pro!

Wide variety of different patterns to use when sewing. Easy instructions to understand when setting up. Great size and amazing stitch quality.

Portable, easy to move around with, user-friendly, stitched better than I expected. Great gor beginners. I d not receive any accessories with my machine. I wish some of the hardware were actual metal instead of plastic material.

The XM 2701 sewing machine does not come with an instructional DVD as shown on the fifth bullet point under what’s included. I contacted Amazon and they told me to contact Brother regarding the missing instructional video, which I did, and the representative at Brother told me that is not the description Brother has on their website for this item. This is a not accurately represented in the description and should be corrected. I’ve given this transaction four stars out of five stars because of this.j

Reliable and gets the job done for beginners and professionals.

First time really using a sewing machine because they always seemed intimidating. However this little guy is easy to learn on and I love it. There are many different stitch options and sewing feet and so the possibilities seem endless with regards to what projects I'll be able to accomplish. Very awesome machine and comes with a hard plastic storage case that I like the idea of better than a simple dust cover. Would certainly be suitable for someone just starting out with minimal experience.
