Q: 1) is this meant for the manual 2018 wrx (not an sti) and it’s rear diff? 2) how is this made in the usa? i thought it was from japan?

this will work in the manual transmission and the diff. Subaru make things in the US to avoid tariffs.

Q: Is the oil with limited slips?

This oil can be used for the transmission and the front and rear differential. The best thing to do is call a Subaru dealership and talk to the maintenance department. Some times it is even cheaper there than on Amazon. When i got the coolant it was twice the price here than at the dealership.

This product is not synthetic, it is a Subaru manual transmission specialty mix recommend by Subaru for manual transmission's and rear differentials. I recently purchased 5 quarts for my 2010 Outback 6 speed and am very pleased with the product.
