Easier than sewing by hand
This gets a big YES as it makes life better for some one like me and I love it my mum had an old singer hand one years ago in fact I’ve still got it and it was so well used and if my new one lasts me as long as that did I will be pleased thank you which is why I went for singer knowing how well they last so please don’t let me down

Good for all sewers. Easy to use a s straightforward
Great value and perfect for beginners or more experienced. I’m using it as a teaching machine, but it’s sturdy enough that I’m using it myself too!

Good machine if costing less than £100, otherwise better versions of singer are available for £ 135 upwards
Pros: Easy to set up and use and has a good range of stitches. Runs smoothly with varying stitch speeds. Comes with accessories such as button hole foot, bobbins, stitch picker etc.It gets great reviews on other sites however if spending £135 or more, there are better machines available. If it was listed as £100 or less, it would be good value for money. After buying this machine and trying it out, I returned it (and exchanged for the 3321) for a few reasons:1) The storage box is v difficult to remove; I cut my thumb on the plastic trying to get it off. There's no place to grip it. Major design flaw. (3321 much easier to remove the box safely)2) Lengths of stitch can be adjusted but not widths and I felt the stitches were very large (except basic zig zag). Many other machines including 3321 can adjust both.3) Didn't have twin needle capacity4) Needle was tricky to thread (whereas the 3321 has automatic needle threader)5) Kind of cheap looking. When the light is on you can almost see through the plastic to inside the machine.Unless you are getting this for £100 and can't afford to stretch a bit further, I recommended you buy the singer 3321 instead. It has a bigger range of stitches, is easier to use and is around the same price. It's much nicer looking and appears more sturdy.
