Replaced the tape and cotton on my Powerspec i3 Plus printer with one of these. much nicer looking, keeps heat in well and allows visual inspection of the top of the print head to ensure a gap between the heater block and the heat break tube.

Fits great, no more tape!
While doing some maintenance on my printer I decided to try out these silicone socks for the heater blocks instead of fussing with kapton tape. I'm glad I did!I have a FlashForge Creator pro. One nozzle is stock the other is a micro Swiss all metal. These socks easily slipped over the heater blocks and nozzles and hold snug. The socks also don't tear like tape when cleaning (or trying to install the tape...) so I think they'll last a lot longer too. There was a noticeable smell the first time I heated the printer up, but it didn't last long.

they're alright....
i wish they were a bit stiffer. they sometimes pop off, but......they do keep the heater warm and are easy to remove when work is needed to be done

Nice and neat
Nice and neat. I wanted to replace the tape and paper product that the heat break originally came with with something cleaner. It has a nice snug fit and cleaning any filament from it is easy. There is a slight odor it gives off when heated for about the first 10ish hours. After that, the odor pretty much goes away. It is nice that it comes in a pack of 3.

Easier installation and better durability than cotton insulation
These fit great and do a nice job insulating the Mk10 heat block of my Wanhao Duplicator i3 (Monoprice Maker Select) v2.1Getting kapton tape (not included) to secure the socks can be challenging, but it's worth it. Easier to install than cotton insulation and much more durable. I happily use a wire brush to clean the extruder nozzle before each print without worry.

I don't believe this is Silicone. Some oily substance leaked out of the sock when it got hot (210 Celsius). Left black crusty stuff all over my heater block and got over the print (See Pic). Pulled the sock off and now it is stiff and has a crunchy feel when you squeeze it.

Excellent boot.
OMG I have a silicone boot! The printer gave up before the boot did. Was able to get nozzle up to temp slightly faster and temperature was a bit more stable while running.

These worked well on my Power Spec i3 Plus which is a rebranded Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus. Much better than the cotton stuff that comes on the hot end.
