Product Description The Yantra Mat is a new acupressure concept that has been hugely popular in Scandinavia, with over one million mats sold in Sweden in 2009. The 100% cotton mat contains 8,820 acupressure contact points. There are 210 spiked flowers on the mat and each flower alone contains 42 pressure points. These have been carefully positioned on the mat to provide equal pressure at all times. Using the mat for 20 minutes per day may help to relieve stress, improve sleep, give you more energy, and relieve aches and pains.A consumer survey carried out in Sweden found that 96% of Yantra Mat users said they had great results, whether for relieving pain, improving wellbeing, promoting better sleep or reducing stress. You can use the Yantra Mat at home or at the office, and even take it with you on holiday.

Relaxing
I find it relaxing to spend about 30 minutes lying on this each evening in front of the telly. I'm not sure if it is the mat itself or just the fact I am forcing myself to get horizontal and breath deeply that does it!? The spikes seem sharp to touch but you need to wear a thin top (e.g. t-shirt) to really feel it when you are lying on it. I like it - it makes my skin tingly.

Just what my sleep problems ordered!
I actually bought this mat for my partner who suffers from mutliple issues to do with his disability as I'd heard such great things about it. So far I have used it myself more.....it states for new users that around 10 mins max first time out - well despite my sleep issues I was asleep in under 10 and woke up 3 hours later because I tried to turn over and felt the pads scratch on my arm :)Would reccommend

This is a second purchase of a Yantra mat after my husband got one earlier this year. It is a brilliant thing to use and his sore back is a lot better since started using it. So much so my son wanted one as well.
