AKAS Tex PUL (Polyurethane Laminate) 1Mil, Aqua/Ocean Yard

I just finished the lunch sack whose lining I made with this so its durability has yet to be tested. In comparison to other brands I've purchased in the past, by its feel it compares favorably. Plenty for the price. There is an art to sewing with this, though, and I do not possess that skill. It slipped and stretched like crazy; there was always some pulled beyond the end of the seam that had strteched as the seam was sewn. I ripped and tore at to redo seams quite a few times and it held up impressively! Naturally it does not take a straight pin well, as well it should not per its purpose so fastening it was qute the challenge. I ended up gluing one last seam and it looks just fine. Before I use it in another project, and I will use it in projects yet to to come, I will go online fora tutorial.

I used this to make a waterproof pocket in my diaper bag for my used cloth diapers when we are out of the house. It holds the odor well and works great! I make my own cloth diapers and I love the 1mil PUL. It is thick enough to hold the liquid; but not so thick that he cannot move around in it.

This PUL is thin but it serves the purpose for which I purchased it. The blue is a very nice color. If I bought it locally it was thicker, with designs on it but cost nearly 2x as much. If you are making pull on diaper covers, it would be fine. It is soft and not stiff. If you want a diaper bag, maybe something a little thicker would be better. I am using for layering underwear as a moisture barrier. Works great.

The pic is kind of misleading as it is showing the shiny or "wrong" side of the fabric. The other side not shown is the "right" side of the fabric. I used this for lining in wet/dry bags. It worked great!

I had never heard of this kind of fabric -- and I've been sewing for 50 years. I used it to make the inside of a diaper bag for my daughter-in-law. I've already washed it a couple of times, and it comes out like new. I put it in the dryer on high heat because I read that helps seal the holes. Only thing I don't like is that I have to use tissue paper to sew on it or my feed dogs don't move it through the machine.

Perfect product for waterproofing projects! It's soft and easy to use !! I use it for baby bib backs, lining totes and diaper bags, and put a layer of it inisde a small changing mat to carry in a diaper bag for use on the go !!

If you need to straighten the fabric to the grain, be sure to order more than you need because it is really crooked. I lost a lot. But the company had sent enough extra to make up for the loss.

This stuff is AMAZING! It's lightweight and water proof. And makes the most perfect DIY incontinence pads. I'm sure it would make great diapers for babies as well.
