What is this magic?
What is this magic? Like most people, I wasn't convinced that these little grey balls on my skin were purely dead skin. Well, I asked Gemini, and they aren't, mostly. In reality, the little balls are a part of the exfoliating mechanism; the others are chemical exfoliators like BHA, which is oil-soluble and can very quickly release oil from pores. The PHA breaks down the bonds between dead skin cells. The little balls are cellulose that react with the air and then ball up. However, their job is to pick up the oil and dead skin that the BHA, AHA, and, mainly, PHA has just loosened. So maybe 90% of the ball is cellulose, and the other 10% is dead skin/sebum. Who knows? Regardless, they aren't trying to trick you. The little balls serve a purpose much greater than your own personal satisfaction that comes from seeing dead skin come off your face. Oh, and if you see blue in the little balls, that is a pigment found in black rice that is similar to the pigment in blueberries; you don't have blue dirt in your skin. If you still find it hard to believe, I've tested it several times on skin that naturally has closed pores and very little oil production, like the tops of my hands. I find that many more little dirt balls roll off in areas like my T-zone, and much less in places where I'm not producing as much oil, like my cheeks, and virtually none roll off on the tops of my hands. Now that we've got that out of the way, all I can say is WOW! After one use, there is a very noticeable difference in my skin texture. Freckles on my forehead all of a sudden faded, and my décolletage, where I have a lot of sun damage, evened out a bit. It's wild because the substance is only on your skin for a short period of time. At first, it looks and feels like you are polishing your face, which is not the case. My skin is much smoother, and I can see that it's cleaner. It reminded me of the texture of my skin when I was a kid, before pores or sebum were even a thing. Perhaps what I'm seeing there is the pore-tightening aspects of the formula at work. Anyway, this is well worth the money. Just don't overdo it the first time! Remember, those little balls are mostly cellulose, not your skin. After using it, my active skin care penetrates much better. Over-the-counter skin care has advanced so much in the past five years, and this is a perfect example of that! An excellent product that actually does what it says it will! Update: I figured out that the freckles that were fading were actually solar lentigo (sun spots, age spots). Apparently, these acids can fade them. I had this happen with retinol once. I thought I had a retinol burn, but later realized it was actually a large solar lentigo peeling off my face over a few weeks' time. Crazy! Update: I've been using this weekly all over my face, very carefully avoiding my eyes, and I am still blown away every time I use it. It is the most effective skincare product I've ever used. I had a facial scheduled and actually cancelled it because I didn't see the point of going. This stuff makes my skin look better than any facial could. As we get older, I think we greatly underestimate how slowly our skin turns over, and we just get used to the way it looks. Underneath all the buildup, there is a new skin. It's actually shocking when you see it for the first time. I will be forever in awe of this product. It's magic, every time.

Dr. Melaxin
I just hit 35 this year. For the past 3 years I have been searching for something to help get the upper layers of dry skin off of my face without resorting to a freaking sandblaster. I wash my skin twice a day, but had to cut back to once a day because we have hard water and despite having an expensive shower head with equally expensive filter replacements dryness always persisted. I would use gentle scrub sponges both in and out of the shower along with an oil based cleanser first and a water based cleanser second. Every time I would think I am really getting that upper level or two of dead skin cells off my face. I had even tried a moisturizing glycolic peel pad before I applied a very moisturizing face oil or moisturizer. Everything always felt right and soft and supple until I went to apply makeup. I don't wear makeup all of the time but when I do it is minimal and the evidence of dead skin was still on my face. The little dry patches I would have bet a million dollars were gone every time were always there making my sking look blotchy and like I just had no idea how to apply foundation or tinted moisturizer or a mineral powder. Nothing freaking helped! Enter Dr. Melaxin... I don't watch tick tock, I am not a die hard try all the new stuff cause everybody says it works type of woman. I did however know that my Korean body scrub mitt was pretty awesome and I saw a review that described this product the same way but WITHOUT the harshness on your face so why not give it a go? I was already so frustrated and this wasn't to expensive so why the hell not. RESULT: As my skin ages I will adapt my products to what my skin needs always because its a vital organ. I can say however that Peel Shot is now a permanent part of my routine. I would use this even if I had no other cleansers for my face. It is gentle and it works like nothing else I have ever used. The resurfacing I get is mind blowing to me. I wish I could give this 20 stars. I really do. I can't even describe how amazing it feels and how well moisturizer, primer, face oil, etc. absorb after using this stuff. Peel Shot is gentle enough to use everyday on face and body, but I use it for my face mostly. TIP: Make sure to get a good amount, like a quarter size in your hand and really rub it in. You will know you are doing it correctly when you see white peels of dead skin cells roll up under your fingers on your face. It may sound odd, like you are scrubbing too much off but I promise you that your are not! Your face always has waaaayyy more dead skin than you think and this is so gentle it is phenomenal!!! UPDATE I wanted to come back and give an update on my review because this product honestly deserves it. I'm about to turn 36 this year, and for the past few years I’ve been trying everything to deal with the dry, flaky layer on my face—without feeling like I needed a literal sandblaster to get results. I’ve always taken care of my skin. I was washing twice a day, but had to cut back to once daily because of hard water issues. Even with an expensive filtered shower head, the dryness never fully went away. I tried gentle exfoliating sponges, double cleansing (oil-based first, then water-based), and even glycolic peel pads followed by rich moisturizers and face oils. Every single time, my skin would feel soft and smooth… until I applied makeup. That’s when reality hit. Those stubborn dry patches were STILL there. My makeup would look uneven and blotchy, like I didn’t know what I was doing—even though I kept my routine minimal and careful. It was honestly frustrating beyond words. Then I found this. I’m not someone who jumps on trends or buys products just because they’re hyped online. But I had used a Korean exfoliating mitt before and loved the concept, so when I saw something similar designed for the face—but gentler—I figured, why not? At that point, I had nothing to lose. And wow… I’m so glad I tried it. This has completely changed my skincare routine. The difference in how my skin feels—and more importantly, how it looks—is unbelievable. It gently removes that top layer of dead skin in a way nothing else ever has for me. My skin feels smooth, refreshed, and actually prepped to absorb everything I put on afterward. Moisturizer, primer, face oil—everything goes on better. Makeup finally looks the way it’s supposed to. This is now a permanent staple for me. No question. Tip: Use a generous amount (about a quarter-sized) and really work it into your skin. You’ll start to see the dead skin roll up under your fingers. It might feel strange at first, but don’t worry—it’s incredibly gentle, and your skin will feel amazing afterward. If I could give this more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. This is hands down one of the best skincare products I’ve ever used.

This is worth every penny if you want really clean skin Also great for the teens in your family! ❤️
Listen I'm a big skeptic when it comes to products any type of product especially when it comes to my face I'm 55 years old and I look like I'm about 35 as I've been told because I try to make sure I take care of my skin I'm a vegetarian I work out I get plenty of sleep I have to keep myself maintained because my kids are still young and I want to see my grandkids lol. But I have seen this advertised on TikTok and I think YouTube on their information and I'm thinking to myself this is a bunch of crap and I'm being honest here!! I have been using Korean skincare products for a little over a year now and yes they do work The medicube and now I'm a huge fan of Dr Melaxin!! I thought to myself I'm going to buy this product and I'm going to prove them wrong watch this is not going to work boy was I ever wrong!! I had just washed my face with a microdermabrasion called philosophy and I've used their products and I really do like it and I thought using a makeup melting balm and a dermabrasion usually cleans my face or so I thought. The minute I got this I thought why not?? What can it hurt? I put it on my face started rubbing and thought see this doesn't work and then the magic happened!! It lifted so much dirt out of my face I was embarrassed because I use really good products on my face even down to the makeup called Ilmakiage and some other products in that line. This cleaned my face so well and I ended up using it three times and letting my face rest in between and each time it pulled stuff from my face but the color of the garbage balls as I call them got lighter and lighter the first time they were really dark crusty looking and I'm like I wash my face everyday twice a day and this is what I still pull My pores are usually very wide open and screaming at me. My pores look so tight right now and so small even I can't believe it!! I definitely highly recommend this because my son has acne and his nose gets full of impacted sebum balls and it's not a pretty sight I decided to use it on his face right after school I didn't wash it I didn't do anything I just put the product on his nose and rubbed it in gently and holy crap!! His nose was so smooth afterwards it blew me away! I even had my daughter touch his nose and she's like what the heck! So she used it on her face the dark spots under her nose around her face of really dark skin it's not there and we have had so many problems with trying to get rid of that This was the solution. All I'm saying is please give it a chance buy it you won't be disappointed I am currently going to buy 10 more bottles of this to keep up a stock supply and I'm going to buy some of the other products from this line too My face is so smooth it feels like that of a 20 something year old I wish that I had taken pictures to show exactly what it look like coming off of my skin to show how the product works but I got So excited that it worked that I showed everybody in the house and forgot to take pictures lol But I definitely give this product a five-star rating!!

Impressive exfoliator that actually removes dead skin
I was honestly skeptical about this after seeing all the TikTok hype but it genuinely works in a way that nothing else I have tried does. You rub it into dry skin and the dead skin cells literally roll up and you can see them which sounds weird but is also kind of satisfying. My skin feels incredibly smooth afterward and moisturizer absorbs so much better. I use it a couple times a week and have not had any irritation which surprised me given how well it exfoliates. The only reason I am not giving five stars is the results can take a bit of consistency before you really see a difference.

It works, I was surprised! 😱
I normally never do skin care reviews but I’ve been seeing this all over tiktok and decided to give it a try! I’m 19 and have acne, oily and dry skin esp around the nose area, and huge pores that always have so much buildup of black heads, white puss etc. I’ll admit the initial reviews on this product had me concerned and I was hoping that it wasn’t a waste of money but it was definitely worth it! I applied a small amount to my face after cleanser in the morning and it melted off the dead skin off of my nose area, I genuinely thought it was product rolling up at first but I tried it on my hand and it didn’t do much there (I didn’t have any dead skin there), but whoa, after my skin was so smooth, and my pores were visibly cleaner, clearer and my skin looked brighter. It didn’t burn or anything which is surprising for me since I have super sensitive skin. It looked like I did a chemical peel without the burn, visibly taking off dead skin from blemishes and all. 11/10 would recommend! I can definitely see myself buying this product consistently and incorporating it in my routine. I might do it every night for the first week and then 2-3 times a week after, but so far so good, for the first time I feel like I might actually Ben able to achieve glassy skin. :)

My Skin Has Never Looked Better
I really love the Dr. Melaxin Peel Shot Glow Black Rice! I’ve been using it twice a week, and I’m already seeing great results. My skin looks more glowing, feels softer, and I’ve noticed a visible reduction in dark spots. It’s been a great addition to my routine, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to improve their skin’s texture and brightness.

Dr. Melaxin hits again with a new Cactox product Line!
I ordered the Dr.Melaxin Cactox Exfoliating Peel Shot Serum – Gentle AHA/PHA Facial Exfoliator with Cactus Extract & Peptides, since I have been using this brand for many months, and if you're at all on TikTok, you've surely seen the videos on this brand, and product line. I've been using the Cemenrete product line for many months and I really love it, but then this new cactus line came out, and after doing some research about cactus products with regards to skin care, I was very interested. Cactii have evolved to retain moisture for months in very dry environments, and especially prickly pear (Opuntia ficus‑indica)—are packed with water, antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids that make them powerful skincare ingredients. These products are excellent for dry skin - they are very rich in natural moisturizing compounds, and polysaccharides that help the skin retain wate, and High water content plumps the skin and improves elasticity. It's oil contains vitamin E and omega‑6 fatty acids that also nourish and protect the skin barrier. This peel shot is similar to the other line, you apply it, and rub it on your skin, and it peels off and extracts impurities from the skin, you can visibly see it, as it balls up on your skin. At first, I thought maybe this was just the product balling up, but once you use it, you can reapply and see that once the skin is cleansed, there are no more balls of dirt or grime on the skin, and you can put it on any surface, and there are no balls, so it's obvious it is bringing out skin impurities, buildup, etc. And it leaves the skin feeling so silky smooth. Cactus in particular helps close pores, minimize their appearance, and has a wonderful cooling effect. There are other ingredients, such as flavanoids, that help to brighten the skin, and reduce the appearance of redness, or even dark spots. I mean, it's no miracle fix, but it can definitely slow the appearance of future age spots. And of course, antioxidents, which are proven to defend against free radicals, which are harmful to the skin. This is an even more gentle version of the other peel shots from this brand, and refines texture, by minimizing pores, and while there are other products that can help reduce redness, puffiness, these products also have ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and zinc for hydration, repair, and soothing moisturizing. Overall this is an excellent product line, leaves a more matte finish, rather than a shiny feel, and I would most highly recommend it, and use the entire system as an alternative to the Cemenrete line. This product line would be especially good for people with dry, sensitive skin, and/or enlarged pores.

Good for dead skin, not the best for black heads
Very good, got rid of my dead skin cells, and I have a lot! But isn't very good for my blackheads, I saw it missed a lot even tho I rubbed it well
