It's hard to describe the love I have for this book. The small peak into this family life in an enchanted homestead is so delightful! I had to read it slowly after the middle because I didn't want it to end.

I loved this book! I savored it..... read it slow..... cause didn't want it to end. The author draws you in this magical, simple way of life. Living off the land in a rustic cottage.... honoring the seasons.... family & mother earth..... taking pleasure from all the creatures & this beautiful planet has to offer.... you want to step inside & live there, too. This is just what the Goddess ordered... the power of living each day & season with gratitude & love...... cherishing all the simple things in life! LOVED it!

I can't recommend this book highly enough. Very interesting and informative. This guy can write and I loved his stories. This is a journal of his family and personal experience living on a homestead in Nova Scotia. The pagan and spiritual experiences are fascinating. I just sent for his new book and plan to write to this author. I hope he keeps writing. I'll buy anything by him.

I got very pulled into this book; the author's writing is beautiful and almost hypnotic: he really made me feel as if I were there with him among the trees and spirits. Highly recommended for Pagans, homesteaders, or anyone who simply wants a stronger connection to the Earth.

Cliff Seruntine and his family live their lives very tuned in to nature. This book reminds me how we could be living a life with greater awareness of the wheel of the year. He gives a poetic account of how to do many things the old fashioned way in terms of technique and love. Very refreshing. I wish he had 10 more books like this, I'd read'em all.

Great read. I love his style of writing. Hope to read more of his works.

The Seasons of the Sacred Earth made me want to cut ties and live off the grid in the thick of the woods. The writer's style is eloquent and descriptive, and aids you in finding a connection to Nature that many of us may never have the opportunity to feel for ourselves. Even the cover is beautiful....

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a lovely glimpse into a life I wish I could live.

I loved this book and didn't want it to end, partly for it's subject matter but also for the way in which it was written. Having a personal interest in ways of living close to the earth and in having a deep respect for the natural world, it was refreshing to read an account that was completely honest and written so clearly.I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in traditional ways of living life close to the earth and in accordance with the Celtic seasons, but also for anyone who has a deep respect for the earth we live on.The book covers all the months of the year and celebrations and rituals that are followed at these times like Imbolc, Samhain and the solstices. There are also practical guides for the reader such as making your own cheese and cider, which are easy to understand.The whole book feels like it is written with love. The beauty of the prose and accounts of daily life really draw you in.I personally loved the sense of wonder and enchantment that is portrayed though descriptions of practical ways of living coupled with a deep respect for the spiritual world.

This is a wonderful book which you can dip in and out of and leaves you with a calm warm feeling. Its the way I try to live my life so I can relate to the ideals
