Where Does a Mother Go to Resign?

I laughed, I cried, it moved me, yawl. I was blessed by Barabara Jones' words because she was very vulnerable and relatable. I came across this same book that my mom gave to me (in Spanish) many years ago never thinking that I would need it. I did. My two daughters at different times left our home on bad terms. I still haven't heard from my 20 yr old daughter. I know she's physically safe because she's staying with my married son but I don't know how she's doing emotionally or spiritually and that's been very emotionally hard for me. Please pray for her and all the prodigal children. Thank you in advance.

For parents whose children seem beyond hope. One of the most encouraging books for Christian parents to read.

I've just read the first 3 chapters so far it's good!

This book is so well written and straight from a Mothers heart. Having found myself in the same circumstance as Barbara found herself, its like reading my life story. Its a practical book on how to deal with the aspect of homosexuality when someone in the family comes out, and the emotional side of how it effects the family, especially Mum. I admire Barbara Johnson for her frankness and struggles, yet her relationship with God as He gradually helps her to cope and understand her situation is wonderful. It's not the end with God in the picture, and His being in the situation with the hope and strength that comes from Him, is plain to see. An excellent book to help one through when hopes and dreams are crushed, into understanding and loving a child just the way they are, leaving the rest to God.
