This is a quality book stand. I looked at many before buying and am glad I chose this one. I’ve used it for several months now and find it to be solid and well designed. I have used it for decent-sized hardbound books but nothing real big. It is adjustable and puts the book up at a good height, helping with neck strain, which is why I bought it, of course. I think if you had it lifted as high as it could go with a very heavy book on it, you might have to be careful that it doesn’t tip backward. The other stands available don’t seem to offer as much flexibility and height as this one. It is stiff when you need to adjust it, which is a plus because you don’t want it slipping. But I’m not a large person and I have no trouble adjusting it. I hope this will last a long time. I hate buying cheap stuff that ends up in the landfill.

Sturdy and works great

I purchased this to relieve neck tension while holding my Bible. I've used it for a week. It is sturdy. It works well on a surface. I'm using this on my lap while in the recliner so I can sit with my legs elevated. There has not been a balance issue. The clips work well when needed. I'm very pleased with the results.

This is the best to hold a book while reading!My wife doesn’t have to hold her head down for long periods of time now creating neck pain.She lives that she can rotate it and adjust the height as well.Perfect!

Bought it purposely to read my large Bible on paper. It serves it purpose and I love it can shift it different ways!

I really like this product. It’s very strong and well-made. They didn’t skimp on design or material use it holds up. It isn’t tippy and I’m glad that I purchased it. I use it quite a bit.
