Great for their Price
I was all prepared to spend big money on a pair of good shears, but some internet research turned up these. I bought them, not expecting much, and they're soooo good. Really exceeded my expectations and by far the best pair of scissors I've ever had. Way better than the expensive Fiskars at Joanne.

Reasonable price, excellent quality.
After losing my old pair of spring-loaded Fiskars, I was on the hunt for some new sewing scissors. Growing up I'd used Gingher, but lots of people online and off say that Gingher isn't what it used to be. Based on the reviews of the Kai brand, I decided to try the 5240 to see what they were all about and then perhaps trade up to something in the 7000 series if I liked them. I love them! They're comfortable, sturdy without being heavy, and they cut quickly and cleanly. I still might splurge on the 7000s, depending on how quickly these need to be sharpened, but so far I don't see a reason to switch at all.

Hands down...the best scissors you can buy!
I admit, I was a bit skeptical. After trying out Kai scissors, I'm a happy convert from Gingher. To start with, the handles are so comfortable. The soft, larger hand grip allows you place all your fingers in the bottom handle, and you can certainly cut with much less fatigue. With arthritic hands, this is a blessing! Add the lightweight feature of the scissors, and I'm now able to cut out whole patterns without hand fatigue! Then the sharpness of the shears are by far the best feature! Just cut out a pattern with 4 layers of quilting cotton. It went through the fabric layers like butter, the cuts were straight, and as advertised, they cut all the way to the tips. Marvelous scissors, I'll be adding more to my collection!Shipping by the company was super fast! Got from Washington to Texas in 3 days! Thanks Kai! Love it when products are as good as promised!

Great shears, great value
I recently got back into sewing and needed a new pair of fabric shears. I was going to spring for a pair of Ginghers based on their reputation, then happened upon reviews for Kai brand, which I had never heard of. I am very happy with this purchase...they are light, cut like a dream, and their soft handles make cutting long pieces of fabric quite comfortable. Time will tell if they hold their edge over the next few years. For now, I am a new fan of Kai brand scissors.

Very sharp, great for lymphedema foam cutting
My wife used this pair of scissors during her lymphedema CLT class. It was used to cut foam of various densities, ranging from hard foam to yoga mat type stuff. It was all at least 1/2" thick or so. Her instructors and fellow students were jealous of her super sharp Kai's. They cut through this thick stuff very smoothly, all the way to the tip, and the ergonomic handle was perfect. My wife said she felt sorry for the people that didnt bring good scissors and had to use the instructor provided ones.It would be nice if they came with a carrying case to keep the sharp ends safe. Kai doesnt make a sheath for scissors this size, so keep that in mind. My wife used 2 socks to carry them in, and obviously it would have been better with a real sheath.

Cut like butter
I have been making 4 ply face masks for a month and when my fingers started to develop callouses, I started to look for new scissors. I am so happy I chose these, the handles are very comfortable for my arthritic hands, I can fit all 4 fingers in the larger one, the scissors are perfect length and very sharp - they slice through fabric with very little effort.

Disappointed-Not Real Kai's
I purchased a pair of "real" kai's about a year ago and decided to get an extra pair for my camp. These feel and cut NOTHING like the first pair that cost me a little more. Trust me when I say, you will know the difference between this $20 pair vs. the real deal. These "Kai's" cut like paper scissors. They are going back!
