Allen Company Sportsman's Scale, 550 Lb. Capacity

Received this the other day and checked it out on delivery. I had read a few reviews that said it fell apart but mine was all in one pc and all the screws were tight. I pulled it out and have been using it several times weighing beaver I had trapped. It appears to be quite accurate and durable. I really like it and have no complaints with it. Maybe as others buy this they might just check the screws as they unpack it just to be on the safe side.

The other reviewer is correct, the packaging isn't great so the scale will be a little scuffed up when you get it. This doesn't affect readability. Overall it works well and is more accurate than I expected. Also I like that the metal hooks are beefy and have wide openings.I can't speak to long term use, since I've only used it a few times, but if you just need a scale that works, this is it. If you're concerned about appearances, you should probably be looking at another class of scales anyway.

Buddies brought their deer over to weigh them and everyone was happy

The scale functions flawlessly and seems to be of okay quality for the price...... but I can't go a full 5 stars because the first scale that was shipped to me literally fell apart in the box. I opened the box and there were loose nuts and molts in the bottom of the box and the scale did not function.The seller sent me a prepaid return tag and shipped a new scale that has worked well. So, good support from the seller and a product that works as expected now that I got one that's not defective.

purchased for use in a hunt club, weighing lots of deer. It is also used to pull the deer off the back of the truck, and altho that is not what it is meant to do, this brand holds up well for 2+ years of abuse

Junk. Not very sturdy Scale would hang up while weighing something. Something might weigh 110lbs on a lift and weigh a second time at 60 lbs. will be returning.

Very good for the price

Very disappointed, bought this last fall after our hunt so didn’t get to use it till yesterday. Hung first quarter of moose on it, scale went to 160 and when the weight was removed it stuck on 80.Don’t know who to contact or if there’s anything they can do but really disappointed it looked like a good rig.
