Blue WaveNE1145 Premium Stainless Steel In-Pool Ladder for Above Ground Pools, Silver

We recently installed a deck around our above ground pool. Before our deck, we had a cheap plastic ladder that we absolutely hated. It was wobbly, and very unsafe coming out of the pool. Our son(6'3) and several of his friends had actually fallen getting down off of the ladder.I did my research and took a chance on this ladder. This ladder is solid. It's really easy to put together and all around great quality. You will have to buy a 1 1/2 inch hole saw which can easily be found at Lowes for 5 or 6 bucks. Took it out of the box and installed on a deck board. Install took about 30 minutes total. Also, contrary to a review we read, the ladder DOES come with flanges. I bought 2 separately because a review said they were not included, but to my surprise, they were in the packaging.The box was really beat up when it arrived from FedEx, but all components were there, and the ladder did not have a ding on it. Extremely happy with this ladder and would recommend spending the extra $$ for the quality you will get.

Love this ladder! I was nervous about ordering cause it’s a little pricey but all decent pool ladders are. This one mounts to the deck. We have a 54” pool, deck is just below the top railing and it fits perfect, goes all the way to bottom of pool. It’s very sturdy doesn’t sway or float up and it does come with the flanges needed to mount the ladder to deck. Super easy to clean too!

Looks great as a shiny steel ladder but it is VERY VERY SLIPPERYI was wearing Rubber Crocs on my first experience and I still had a couple of bad slips (And I Hurt myself)They should infuse soft rubber traction laminate on the top of stepsQC should be fired and also held for liabilityPlease respond ASAP

The ladder itself feels sturdy. I discovered it DOES come with the deck flanges. You don't need to buy them separately like I did. The user manual DOES recommend a mat to be placed under the bottom step of the ladder, so I would purchase that. The instructions also tell you to drill a 1-1/2 hole into the deck. In retrospect, I would have used a 1-9/16 hole saw just to allow a little extra wiggle room. I was disappointed that my bolt package that was sealed was missing a nut. So I had to visit my local hardware store to find a stainless steel nut and lock washer. That's why I gave it 4 stars for Easy to assemble. I would recommend having an extra person in the pool to assist in installing it. I was able to install it by myself, with minimal cursing, having to fish the ladder out of the pool only once.

The ladder is light but solid easy to install and works great for our purposes.

My deck is 60”. Cut the ladder to size and it is great! I read the reviews and I am thinking the negative ones were probably because people didn’t follow directions. The bottom step has to sit on the pool bottom. This keeps that step from coming off and allegedly poking holes in liner…? Don’t see how that would happen if you put it together correctly …but whatever. We like it. Sturdy enough. May put some anti slip tape on steps but will see. Easy to assemble. Good value for the$. Only for decks…mine is higher than they recommended but it works!

After one season I see surface rust in the crevasse's where the steps meet the 2" round supports. I have a saltwater pool. I'll try removing and see how the next season goes.
