Manufacturer's Description The Dutch artist M.C.Escher is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest graphic artists of our time. After his studies he went to live in Italy and took inspiration from the Italian landscape and architecture for his drawings, lithography and woodcuts. In 1935 he went back to Holland where he started to create his greatest master pieces. Many of these are now available as puzzles from Jumbo Games. Escher’s art work is both incredibly detailed and abstract that makes his work even more attractive in black and white interpretations of his studies.The Bond of Union puzzle illustrates two spiralling images of the heads of a women and a man. Escher emphasises the two beings as an endless band that forms a double unity with their forehead intertwining together. Escher’s concept of space is magnified by the spheres that float everywhere between the hollow images.
