Tilley Hat

I love this hat already! It fits perfectly, its fantastic quality and the colour is great!I took the lace out of it, as I found it a little uncomfortable but I've kept it in the hat pocket so that I can rethread it if its windy out. Aside from that super comfortable and I think it looks great! Nice to finally have a hat that I feel comfortable and confident in!

I like the colour, the material is softer than the Tilley hat I bought in Sydney, 24 years ago.A comfortable hat to wear that will protect me, from the sun, with SPF 50+ rated material, with a generous sized brim.

A great hat for wearing in the sun. Very comfortable and appears to be good quality and very well made. I would buy another from Tilley without hesitation.

cant quite see how its almost £60 worth, but claims to be made in Canada, so costs will be high compared to China. also seems too heavy for a sun hat, but is well made and no doubt will last and see me out. disposed of the ridiculous drawstring / chinstrap thing. seems more suited to walking in the Peaks than my upcoming hols in Malta, so will need to spend again on a Panama. some loose threads too. yes, I was drawn in by the Tillley hype.

Brought this for my teenage son’s Duke of Edinburgh hikes.I own many Tilley hats, all are great providing comfortable sun or rain protection and are great for long walks, the sweat band and grommets ensure your head never gets too hot and sweaty. The fit is loose but comfortable and the cords ensure the hat stays on in the wind.But the look is too old and formal for a teenager, this is where the Wanderer comes in, all the above Tilley qualities but in a more modern package,black grommets, leather patch label, pre washed for softness.Showerproof as well as sun protection, wide brim that can be snapped up for hood, phone use or map reading and very soft so can be shoved into rucksack.All I all very impressed, great hat he will weR and know great protection.Highly recommended, expensive but will last a lifetime, I regularly wear my Tilley from 20 years ago.

I have worn Tilley hats for over 10 years since having a kidney transplant and needing to protect my thinning skin from the sun. This is probably the 6th Tilley hat I have and they all are used for different occasions. This is the first one I have ordered from Amazon and despite being nervous it fitted perfectly - bonus.I wanted a waterproof lightweight hat and this one is perfect plus it is blue.

Some people mentioned sizing issues but I measured my head as instructed and used the chart and it fits perfectly.Very well made hat. Nice feel. Soft inside. Perfect appearance.Someone mentioned confusion about where they are made. Tilley say their hats are designed in Canada and made in China.

It was folded up in the package so it has a pretty bad crease in it. I’m hoping it will iron out. Other than that minor issue it is good so far.

Bought this for a hiking trip to the Pacific Northwest in October based on reviews. I don’t usually wear a hat when I hike but I wanted something for rain protection. Originally got the size I measured, but it seemed snug so I went up a 1/4 inch. Haven’t worn it yet, so can’t speak about how it repels water, but it does seem like it’s good quality. It also seems breathable which will be helpful if it’s humid. Received the hat quickly and the refund on the original hat went smoothly. I got the gold color and am very happy with it.

I had two Tilley hats, one about 45 years old, another at around 30 years old, and now another purchased just a few months ago. Admittedly my 45 year old hat looks it's age, and I haven't been as kind to it as I otherwise may have been, but it is still my hat of preference when working outside or taking my dog for a walk. These hats are the G.O.A.T. and Canadian, so enough said.
