Neet® 4K HDMI Switch 4 x 1 with IR - 3D 4k x 2k - USB Powered

This switch is incredibly handy. I'm currently using 3 of the 4 out ports and all three work perfectly. The IR remote control switches between them with ease too.The USB cable supplied to power the device is a little short but thankfully micro USB cables are in no short supply these days. The package would also benefit from having a HDMI cable included. It's also a bit of a monstrosity for such a small device when there are a few HDMI cables connected.All those are very minor complaints though when the core product does it's job so well.

The switch works a treat, the remote didn't work however.

Worked with a SKY Q 2TB box and a Fire TV 4K stick but failed to deliver a signal from my Panasonic DMP-UB900 4K bluray player to my TV. Neet customer support suggested this maybe a DCHP 2.2 compliance issue as the switch is a pre 2.2 model.Remote control (with a new battery) had a max. range of approx 12"Returned to Amazon for a refund.

When I plug this in to my TV (via any HDMI port) it prevents any Bravia Sync/SimpLink/etc connection. This means that I can generally no longer control my surround sound volume from my TV remote. When I can it is slow and frankly unusable.It's as though the power taken from the HDMI cable is affecting it in some way or the IR port in the front is intercepting the signal. Very odd! It didn't happen with my previous HDMI switching block.The build quality is also very poor. The HDMI selector switch on the top of mine regularly jammed down.

Purchased instead of a Kinivo switch (I already have one of those) as it is a 4k switch. However, it did not function as well as Kinivo. It didn't automatically detect changes and the remote needed to be within a meter of the item to work. Returned.

I had one of these previously from Maplin and it was unreliable and then gave up completely. So far this one has performed faultlessly, is extremely responsive and there's no loss of picture quality. No complaints at all.

For some reason signal breaks every 20mins

I have rated this product 4 star for two reasons only.The first is that the USB cable supplied to power the product is very short and with a wall mounted television it was left dangling until I replaced it with a longer cable.The second is that the range for the remote control is equally as short and it requires you to be very precise, it won't switch input if it is faced backwards for example.Other than that the product works great and has made life much easier.
