So far so good, does what is supposed to do.
I was looking for an assisted breaking device primarily for when climbing with my wife on belay that would use like a normal ATC rather than something that has a different technique to its use. After a long procrastination I decided on the click up. I haven't been disappointed. Even during just testing how it works at home I have been really happy with how intuitive it is. If you can use a standard ATC belay you can use this. When taking it out to actually use I was once again really impressed with it. It goes without saying that this is an assisted breaking device not and auto breaking device. If your hand isn't on the loose end of the rope it will not catch someone. If your hand is on the brake end of the rope, even if it is only lightly holding it (not encouraged) the click up will engage and catch. From there it seems to be fully locked until you start lowering or disengage it for continued climbing. I have only used this so far with my kids as lockdown 2 and 3 hit in quick succession here, so I cannot comment on how it works with a full sized adult but I have full confidence it will work just as well. I also can't comment on the longevity of the screw gate caribiner yet as I haven't had the chance to use it much yet. So far so good, I'm happy with the click up.

First impressions, pretty good.
This is the first time I have used an assisted braking device and it took some getting used to. But I believe these devices will cut down on the amount of injuries in single pitch venues, which can only be good. It seems to have 2 modes, one that allows the free movement of the rope. And one that will only allow it one way, depending on where the rope is in the device. I have used it for solo top roping on my own wall and it caught me every time I fell. I do t recommend that this is employed every time. When used an the manufacturer describes, it catches well and locks the rope in place. I will use this for all my bottom roping from now on

Great design and 100% safe
The audible click lets you know when the device locks - meaning there is no chance of dropping the climber. The top ropes in our climbing centre are thicker than the maximum stated on the device (10.5mm) so it’s hard work to feed through. I still use my beetle for the top ropes. It is beautifully designed and a pleasure to use on the stated rope sizes

great device but
had this for a year and it fills me with confidence when making a bold move with a new belay partner as its pretty foolproof unless I demand slack aggressively and it locks! (-; ... however the rate at which my indoor ropes are being destroyed seem to be increasing, maybe its the ropes..

Great piece of gear
I have been using the Click up for top rope wall climbing for a few weeks now and it takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang it is good. It does brake well, but you should not have the rope taut when belaying or it will click up.

very useful - careful with rope thickness
A very useful little tool for belaying. Only drawback is that on an indoor wall on the top rope sections the ropes tend be quite thick and belaying in this tool becomes very hard. Brilliant for use with 9mm rope on lead belay though.

After a few months of use, I can with all confidence say I love it. I've used it both indoor and outdoor for lead climbing and top roping. My wife has also used it to belay me and the auto locking function gives an extra level of safety. I'd say this is very beginner friends due to this locking function.

Love it and feels very safe - better than a grigri
Love thisI’m still having a few issues with it locking when someone is climbing or clipping as my technique isn’t great, but aside from that it’s brilliant and really easy to use.
