Wireless Doorbell, 1 [Self-Powered] Push Button and 1 Plug-in Receiver, Waterproof Chime Kit with 58 Chimes & 4 Level Volume LED Flash White, No Battery Required

I had been using a similar product (wireless outside push button transmitter, inside receiver & bell) for many years. However, the transmitter used a miniature 12v battery. When the battery ran out, it would sometimes take me a couple of weeks to realize the bell was no longer working. Most recently, I replaced the battery (twice) only to discover the bell worked for a day or two, then stopped. I concluded the transmitter cover was no longer waterproof and heavy rains we had caused a problem.All of this made the OstarWorld wireless doorbell an attractive alternative. The transmitter does not use batteries, so there is no reason to open it. (It is waterproof as long as it remains sealed.) I attached the transmitter to our front storm door using the double-sided adhesive pad provided, which is working well. (It can also be attached with provided screws, but the transmitter then has to be opened, which risks the waterproofness.) The receiver plugs in and has plenty of tones to choose from. They do have to be selected by going through them one-by-one until you find one you like, but since I won't be changing tones very often - if at all - that was not a big deal. There is a four-level volume control. The loudest setting is not quite as loud as our old doorbell, but it is acceptable.Vendor communication has been excellent. I contacted them with a question about the waterproofness of the push button transmitter. The response was prompt and clear.Two small concerns led me to rate this 4 rather than 5 stars: [1] The push button must be firmly depressed so the kinetic energy generates the electricity to send the signal which rings the bell. I used my label maker to attach a small "Push in Firmly" label to the transmitter because some people were not fully depressing the button. [2] The door bell tones are "tinny" compared to my old bell, but still acceptable, especially given the reasonable price of this combo.Note that this combo is available in white or black.

Used in a 1600 sf house. Hard to hear if you are not near. Works well otherwise.

It’s a great doorbell. I bought this one because I got tired of changing the battery in my old one. It just wasn’t holding up to the elements anymore. So my only real complaints are that when I got the doorbell I had to punch holes through it to screw it to the side of my house. On the one that I received I could tell where the holes were supposed to be punched out through the plastic frame. For some reason it just didn’t happen on mine. The other issue is that you do have to give the button a good press to create the charge for it to ring. I have a medium sized home and I would have to say that it’s loud enough to hear it in any room of my house. The setup is as maybe two minutes if that. I spent more time trying to decide which “chime” I wanted for when the bell rang. I would definitely buy this again!

I had an intercom which died and left me without a working doorbell. I was suspicious that the self-powered button would have a very limited range and would be something that would wear out quickly. I am delighted to say that I was wrong on both counts. This works great. I have only had it a week, so the durability story is not yet complete, but it seems pretty sturdy.Installation was as easy as the description suggested. We cleaned an area near the door, applied the doorbell using the tape and simply plugged the chime into a wall outlet about 40 feet away from the button. I thought I would simply get this and use it as an interim measure until I got something to integrate with automation.My wife really enjoys the ability to vary the chimes based on her mood (she loved the circus theme which seems to have been the default). She enjoys this so much, I probably won't replace this anytime soon. What a nice product, easy to install and a very reasonable price.The seller sent the product when described and as described so I am happy in that regard as well.Excellent experience.

Initially worked like a champ for 1st 2 weeks after installation. Now push button starting to intermittently get locked into ringer unit and having to push multiple times to get it to trigger inside ringer. Unfortunately people who push ringer aren’t aware that ringer inside house has not been activated. Inside ringer unit has been placed within 10’ of outside door bell activator with only a window between activator and ringer inside house!

Works as advertised and well enough, I guess. Wish the button that mounts by the door looked a little better. Easy to hide the plug-in receiver. Lots of ring sounds that sound a little better than most (even thosat a higher price point). But with today's tech, there should be some drop dead gorgeous sounds, although these will be good enough for most.

Replaces an old style wired doorbell, which no longer worked. Have bought several more, for use in another house and garage! JTPThis was for a friend. They now tell me the ALOICI doorbell started getting weaker and now doesn't work. Not happy with it now! I notice they are out of them. (Curently Unavailable 3/27/2023) JTP

This doorbell is a little more expensive than the average but with no need to lay wires and no need to ever change batteries makes it very worthwhile. It also has many options for the bell sound.
