RI6034EA - SafetySure Transfer Belt Medium, 4 ft. L x 4 W, 3/8 Thickness, 32-48 Waist

I ended up ordering this 3 times to get the right size ( I had to guess ) but everyone in the family is pleased with this belt. We use it to lift my 85 yr old Mother and it's made it so much easier. I'm not sure the measurements on these belts are correct because my mother should fit a small but it was way too small. The medium ended up fitting her just right. The large is huge so I gave it to another family member who needed one and even though it's a bit big on him too, it was still usable. The quality is good on these belts, it's very padded and it doesn't hurt or bite into my mother when we lift her up like her old belt did.

My husband has a spinal cord injury and is learning to walk again and needs assistance and support to stand, transfer and walk. We could not do it without this belt. it gives so much control and support. He has lost some weight so it has become a little too large so we added suspenders. It gives that added level of security even if it is not always used.

The belt seems to be very well constructed and well padded. The handles are well placed to aid care givers. The only problem we had was Mom's physical shape. She has more of a pare shape and when using the belt to help her up, the belt would slide up to the point of being unusable for her. To get it tight enough to not slide would cause her too much pain. For anybody with the right shape, I would highly recommend this belt.

At first I was so pleased to get the belt as I ordered wrong size first, a family member had been in need for one for quit some time. You need to make sure it clicks when closing, even then be cautious as twice the belts come undone and our family member has been seriously injured!! It's a horrible feeling when they slip away n fall to the ground getting seriously injured w concusion and sprangs nbruises ;were blessed it wasn't worse!!i don't know what went wrong?the wider belt doesn't cut into the body like others washes easy love all the loops n instructions it has made it easier to keep people moving safer!! Just be careful and play with it until you get use to proper handling!! Good luck

I've got a very disabiling form of MS. I use a wheelchair for just about everything I do. This transfer belt is what I needed to stop getting "wedgies" from people trying to help me trying to transfer to my bed, etc. It works well getting out of a hotel bed that's missing my "home built accomodations." I also found that if I attach it to my upper torso, and using a Velcro strap, it can secure myself from rolling from side to side as my van corners. I attach the strap to a handhold on the van's interior. Works great in all applications

not as easy to use as expected, unable to use as my husband is a pivot transfer.

This is the second one I have bought for my mom (double lung transplant, multiple strokes). We wanted an extra to use when washing the first. We put it up under her armpits across the top of her chest and it makes it SO much easier on our backs and her balance is much better than holding her at the waist. We leave it a little loose but when helping her stand we grab two of the handles near each other with one hand to tighten it temporarily while helping. We tried about ten different belts before this one, and we havent tried another one since.

My 91 year old husband whas Parkinson/dementia and is very unsteady on his feet. This belt which is adjustable has at least five handholds so that he can be helped to walk securely. It is made of durable material.
