don't try to scratch it off
Gold doesn't rub off easily (it tears instead of showing a different color) but other than that it looks great.

I was a little disappointed with the map. It looks very nice before you scratch. Once you scratch some areas of the map are more delicate than others. It ripped very easily in some areas and in other areas it was very hard to scratch.

Cheap!
Tried to scratch off a country today and it did it even work! The paper was too hard to scratch off. Used both my nail and a coin. What a waste.
