Good at smashing things. Needs to be green.
A lump hammer and chisel could only get me so far in smashing up all the leftover concrete I had chipped off some old slabs. Rather than disposing the concrete, I reused it as hardcore to level said slabs and tidy them up. For that, a good ol' sledgehammer was needed, and I didn't own one. This did the job quite easily. At times I only had to drop the hammer end down and the concrete underneath was shattered. It's comfy, very sturdy, and packs a hit. I suspect it'll be my best friend when the simple solution to a problem is to smack it with a big hammer.

Not to heavy, easy to use.
It depends what you want to hit but in most circumstances 7-8lb is heavy enough for a sledgehammer, any more and it becomes tiresome to swing repeatedly and accuracy decreases. This 7lb one is perfect for me, the handle is light and does not transmit vibrations up the shade as much as a wooden one. Head is attached quite well, so far no issues with it and would recommend it.

Very solid sledge hammer
Firstly, this hammer is heavy - a good bit heavier than the others I've used. This did however make it possible to demolish a 6" rendered wall though, but it does get tiring quickly. As to build quality, excellent. No risk of the head coming off like on wooden handles versions. I've tried to treat it badly, but it just won't have it, just keeps on going....

Makes light work of things
Brought mainly for hammering in fence posts into metal stakeholders. Does the job quickly and easily.

Good product, but the packaging was extreme
The product is good, but please work on packaging, its a sledge hammer, not a glass vase, why it needed to come in a giant box packed with what seemed to be 5 ton of paper is beyond me. Atleast its paper and not plastic packaging but I would be more happy if it was just wrapped in paper.

Love a good tapping stick
Purchased this 10lb sledge to bresk up a 5 inch thick lump of concrete, approx 6ft square. 5 minutes job done with barely a scratch to head. The handle has great grip at the far end where needed, and seems overall a very sturdy and neat design.Definitely recommend this hammer.
