Beautiful Book for a Child.
I purchased this book for a 4-year old girl named Annabelle. This little book is charming and the artwork is beautiful. Annabelle recognized her name on the cover, but she was too busy to look through the book. I made her promise to read it to me some day.

A Perfect Gift for Annabelle
My sweet baby granddaughter is named Annabelle, so when I saw this book, I just had to buy it. Every other page is in color with the others being in black and white giving it a somewhat vintage look. I love the illustrations of a time gone by. They are beautifully done. The book setting reminds of the of the late 1800s or early 1900s. Some of the words used in the book are no longer used today, but may have been used by my great grandmother who was born in the late 1800s. This book is for an older child that is beginning to learn letters, but it makes for a great display book until then. Even though Annabelle is a bit young for this book, we will occasionally get it down and read it to her. She likes to look at the drawings.

every gentlewoman should have this, but preferably, a print copy
If one cannot, alas, have an Annabelle (so dainty! so dignified!) of one’s own (oh, the Earrings—so quaint and so small! oh, the Overskirt, worn with such grace!), having the two dimensional version is a delicious pleasure. Sadly, the Kindle version is in two page spreads: great for narrative flow of the quaint couplets, but very small on the iPad when one wants to appreciate every detail of ruffles and garlands. If I could figure out how to enlarge the very beautifully reproduced pages, I would give this six stars.

Perfect baby gift
So so happy to find this beautiful classic book! I gifted this to a friend who was about to have her first baby girl ... conveniently enough, to be named Annabelle. I grew up loving this book and I’m so excited I could keep the love going forward for a whole new generation!!

This is the sweetest book. Tasha Tudor's illustrations are just amazing. I got this for our granddaughter's first birthday, but it would be great for any age child.

Beautiful book
This is a sweet little poetic book about two little girls' grandmother's old doll named Annabelle. It's an alphabet book, so it's educational, but it's also a poem and quite a lovely one. It goes through the alphabet describing all of the cute little accessories that Annabelle has. The language is beautiful as are the illustrations. I recommend this book for any little girl. It's an easy read, so it's perfect for children to practice their reading, and it's good for adults to read to children who are at the age of very short attention spans or if you want to get through a quick bedtime story.

B is for Beautiful
As a doll collector, this little book pleases me no end. As an everything collector it also pleases me. What fun it was to use this as a guide and to collect all the little "stuff" that dolls require. The illustrations are extremely well done and the descriptions of the things collected fun to read about. This is great to share with a child and as a together project - embark on the adventure of finding all the treasures for your favorite doll. Edwina

Great children's book
We had this book for our oldest child (a boy who is now almost 40) and he wanted it read so many times that we knew if from memory and the book was falling apart. We purchased this copy for our year old granddaughter and I am sure she will fall in love with it, too.
