Albert Le Blanc

The images in this book are wonderful and yes, we really did think that he was a sad bear that no one loved. How wrong we were by the end of the story but all the little characters in the book thought so too and hence the activities of them trying to cheer up Albert. This is a good sized picture book, well detailed and enjoyable to read. Nice edition to our library and made us think about not making judgments on appearance.

With my 4 year old daughter being a huge fan of Nick Butterworths book series, Percy the park keeper, I wanted to see what other titles by Nick are like. I'm very glad I did try, and so is my daughter!Albert is a very sad looking bear, but never judge a book by its cover.This story is a fab introduction for children to not assume someone feels just as they look - just because you are not smiling on the outside doesn't mean you are sad. =)A very inventive story, with some mini cameo appearances from other popular books and TV shows that your children are bound to spot - see how many of them you can find!

My 4 year old granddaughter loved it , what more can I say she was delighted.

We love Nick Butterworth, but Albert is just not our cup of tea.

Nice children’s book with lovely illustrations

Perfect for ideas on how to cheer up a sad bear! My reception class loved it-particularly as he wasn’t really sad!

Albert Le Blanc is a toy bear. He arrives in the toyshop and the other toys think he's sad because he has a sad face. But is he really? A great story with Nick Butterworth's lovely illustrations and some well know characters you'll have fun finding! Suitable for four plus age group.
