The tool holders that come with this post will work with it just fine, but are not compatible with the A2Z CNC quick change tool post. Mine came missing one of the two pistons that secures the tool holders, but if you have a lathe (and if you buy this, you probably do) it’s a 2 minute job to make another one. Totally functional, if cosmetically a bit rough. I may refinish the tool holders to fit both this post and my A2Z QCTP, and then be able to use all my tooling on both my South Bend and Sherline platforms.

I have an old Logan bench lathe and needed the ability to quick change cutting tools for my projects without having to go through "tool centering" every time I changed for a different operation. They're not production quality, but good for keeping old machinists hands busy making gun parts. Very handy.

Not a bad post for the lathe bit finding the tool holders for it is a real challenge i mean you could just buy more of the posts to make getting them easy. But if your just starting its not a bad buy at all it is 99% alum with the only steel parts being screws so its no the sturdiest but will work for beginners until more money shows up to buy something better.

Great workmanship for the price.

This might be a good product, but there is no way to attach it to the lathe and the additional part necessary cannot be located online. The 2 long screws are neither long or thick enough to use directly in the tool rest, and a base to screw into is not included. I have doubts it is sturdy enough, even it I could attach it looks like it would rattle and not provide a precise cut.

No instructions, but YouTube videos can show you what you need to know. This is my first purchase of such a tool, but the results have been good. No discernable wear after many uses. I do wish that the adjustment screw was somehow affixed so that it wouldn't come unscrewed when changing the height. That's a minor inconvenience.

Tool post is not made of steel. However, tool post and holders appear to be well made and comes as pictured in the photos.

Its fine for light duty work or hobby use. The aluminum post seems to be not sturdy enough
