I am using this as a component of a large 3d terrain model and I needed these pieces to be of accurate size and very square right angles. They were!These are significantly lighter than a 3/4" thick board would be, they're perfect for what I needed.

I use these as bases for mounting home crafted acrylic chessboard and pieces. Their size is perfect. Easy to paint or stain. Sturdy enough to safely attach board, drawer, and feet. Everyone that receives one seems to be impressed with the quality of these would panels. I'll be ordering more. Saves me from having to create my own. I appreciate that.

Great for any art project, these 2 Pack Unfinished Wooden Canvas Panels measure 9x12. Comparable to products found in most arts and crafts stores, the panels are of similar quality. To achieve your desired outcome with the panels, you may need to prime them or apply a coat of gesso. These panels are great in all other aspects. I couldn't pass up on the great 2-pack price deal, as I like to keep extra panels around for projects.

You will probably need a bottle of gesso. Painting directly on wood is not going to go well for most applications, but if you want to do something specific where the paint soaks in and spreads out, that is one way to use these.We aren't pouring anything in these, because there are way less expensive ways to mold things, and I'm not even sure what the title means by 'pouring.' We sanded them lightly on the top and sides, then did two coats of gesso. After that was done, we did liquid acrylic paintings on them. They stand out from the wall nicely and look great. One downside was that the edges show the edge grain, so they would probably look best in a frame that covers the edge. I guess that might be fixable with some carefully applied wood putty before the sanding and the gesso. Wish I had thought of that first.These are really well made and high quality. The price is good for what they are and what they cost elsewhere. I also love the dimensions.

The manufacturer did not adequately protect the fragile wooden canvas for shipping. Although corner protectors were present, the sides and front of both wooden canvases have multiple gouges, cuts, and indentations. Do not order these wooden canvases, as they are quite unsatisfactory. You cannot paint on a damaged wood canvas, which was terribly frustrating. Also, several corners are improperly made and do not have the expected sharp 90-degree angle. Even without the gouges in the birchwood, I would not have been happy with these. There is no value in this product.

They're comparable to what you'd find in a chain art store. They'll definitely need some varnish, sanding, gesso and sanding to properly prime the surface. It's very lightweight for 2 panels.

These held up nicely through shipping. They seem to be pretty solidly constructed, with no warping or bent corners, and after I primed them, they were fun to paint. It's good to switch things up every now and again, and changing from canvas or player to a wood board is a good way to do that.

These wooden canvases are great quality. They are very smooth and easy to paint on. They are very sturdy and can be used for many different things. These are a great value!
