I ordered this as my mom needed a nightlight that would light the whole of her bedroom without it being too bright. She's old and she lives with me, so we have been going through many different lights that might work (plugins/lamps/having the main light on/putting the corridor light on, etc.).This one worked for her.The colour she prefers that helps her sleep and is also ambient is the blue one. It doesn't have a timer, so it stays on all night until it is turned off when she gets up. Which is perfect for her.It lights up the whole of the room and lets her see around without any dark scary spots (she has to have a light on as she is scared of the dark). It comes with the power lead without the plug, which works for us as her TV is pluged into an extended multi-socket that has a few USB connections available. She loves it, and since its been plugged in, she hasn't shouted out to me during the night, so I am getting a good nights sleep.I also found that keeping the remote white tacked on the light switch just inside her bedroom means the remote won't get lost and is also handy for when I turn the main light off.

Pretty light, well made, low cost
A low cost but attractive light. I like the fact you can dim it so it does not glare - although it will go quite bright too.The colours are nice, the movement of the light on walls and ceiling is nice, the unit seems well made - the clear part is hard plastic which almost feels like glass (but isnt)I have several different star and ocean lights dotted around my recording studio and office, it's nice to have ambiance - especially in the studio - to inspire, and this is one of the nicest ones - the unit is plain and simple and attractive in a minimal way, the light is good and the cost is low.Powered by a USB - no USB adapter, but they are cheap as chips and I dare say you have a drawer full of unused ones - I know I have.Good

Good light effects but not for reading or sleeping: buzz
The media could not be loaded. This is a good looking light projector. It has 16 colours and four flashing modes- smooth and fade are good. Flash and strobe would require the light to be hidden behind the tv set or similar, so the effect is only seen on the ceiling. The 6 levels of brightness only seem accessible with the solid colour modes not the changing colour modes. This lamp is not for reading. In order to be bright enough to read it would have to be on full brightness and right next to you. At this point you are being blinded by the light, not ideal for a relaxing read. This lamp is not for sleeping either. It buzz, buzz, buzzes as the motor rotates the lights under the glass dome (I think it is glass or perhaps hard plastic - I'm not sure and it doesn't tell you in the product description or in the instructions what it's made from). It's not very loud and certainly wouldn't disturb you if you have the tv on or music, but in a quiet bedroom it would drive me insane. It comes with a 2 meters length USB power cable which helps with positioning options as it is mains power only.In a large room in my opinion it needs to be on the higher brightness levels, but out of sight so it does not blind the user, so in the far corner. In a small room on the dimmer setting it can be a centre piece, be pleasant to look at and project onto the ceiling.I think it is a good looking design and is pleasant to look at during the day, when it is not illuminated.I think it's a nicely designed projector and fairly priced at £9.99

Fairly basic but looks better than a cube
This table lamp projector comes boxed together with remote, cable and instructions. Build quality seems decent. The lamp itself is a reasonably large acrylic sphere on a plastic base with a single control button. The lamp is powered by USB and has a USB-C port to attach the reasonably long cable, which has a USB-A connector at the other end, you need to provide your own power source. I used a USB hub.The lamp is easy to use as there's only one button but the remote is more convenient. Not all the colours correspond to the buttons on the remote, with some of the buttons instead producing a multicolour display. if you are looking for a galaxy effect, this lamp doesn't really deliver that at all, the pink and blue are the closest it gets, but if you want a watery or northern lights effect it's pretty good.It doesn't have a timer or any premium features but I like the look of the sphere as well as the projection so overall I am very happy with this projector lamp. I have a few similar ones that are cubes or cylinders but I much prefer this one's spherical orb shape.

It's good when it works...
The one I received keeps turning itself off when I press the small button to scroll through the colours, which is really frustrating. Sometimes it scrolls through the colours - other times it shuts itself down, and other times it stays on the same colour no matter how many times I press it.When it works it does emit a nice light, which radiates around the room - depending on where you place it.It comes with a 2m cable, which is usb-c compatible only, so you will need to site it near a usb port - which could be problematic for some people.Only 2 stars from me because mine appears to have a faulty operating button.

If The Remote Is Misplaced, It Is Un-usable
This looks like a crystal ball when not in use. After plugging it in, and was trying to find a button to switch on the light display? There was a circular metal ball on the unit but it did absolutely nothing.I realised that there was a remote control included, so I pressed the 'ON' button and it started to illuminate. The remote worked well with the LED unit and responded correctly to the coloured buttons on the remote. The motor however is not a silent rotation. It is fairly noisy in a very quiet room with a humming buzzing noise. This is ok for background lighting effect, but for a relaxing quiet time, the noisy motor on rotation may annoy. And again... don't lose the remote as it will be unusable.
