Napoleon company worldwide recognized quality The company's history begins in 1976, with the company owner Wolfgang Schroeter. This year he founded a small steel processing company in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, where he started manufacturing steel railings. At that time, no one could have the incredible success of Wolf Steel Ltd. and the subsequent Napoleon fireplaces and Napoleon gourmet grill models. Since the first wood stove rolled off the band 30 years ago, Wolf Steel has been committed to producing outstanding and successful products. The original oven model was two-door, made of solid cast iron and was produced on 93 m2 of production area. In 1981, the name "Napoleon" was born. Under this name, the first oven model with a single glass door was made from heat-resistant Pycroceram glass ceramics – then a novelty in this industry. This was the first of many important milestones for Wolf Steel: over the next few years, demand for Napoleon wood furnaces grew steadily beyond the borders of Ontario and Canada, and slowly expanded to the USA.
