Green Onions

This is it the first Booker T. and the MGS album. They were the band behind all of that great music to come out of Memphis soul playing behind Otis and Sam and Dave. What a great group and what a great album. Green Onions that hugh hit is here along with some many other tasty treats. I love this group and the sound of that Hammond B-3. I love the remasters of the classics that have been coming out hearing these classic albums with their facelift sounding better than ever. Not only is the whole great album is here but a couple bonus tracks live versions of Green Onions and Can't Sit Down a wondetful addition. This is a classic group with that classic sound that is only Booker T. and the MGS.

I saw Booker T in Atlanta last year, 2017. Booker T is a master at the Hammond B. The show was total enjoyment. This CD is great driving music. I have to get more.

This seminal Stax album has been released by Concord as part of its Stax Re-Masters release - apart from the inclusion of the original album sleeve with the Stax logo - and 2 live tracks which are awful in their sound quality - this mono album does not sound very much different from the Bill Inglot remastered version on the Atlantic/Atco Remasters series in the 1990s. Five stars for the timeless music - 1 star to Concord for bothering to re-reelease it.

Good quality vinyl. Great trip back to Stax Jazz,rock,soul.

Booker T's music is great, but the WaxTime vinyl pressings are poor quality. Both LPs I purchased are warped like a bowl making them difficult to play. An Internet search for WaxTime problems will show you the other issues with this label.

i could not wait for this CD to arrive and it did within a few days. it is a brilliant collection of Booker T and The MG's songs. what i particularly like with this product is that the songs are repeated twice, first with vocals and secondly without. This gives you a different feel to the songs and lets you appreciate the musical talents of these guys. i rerally recommend it.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I was in a record shop in Stafford in Staffordshire UK in 1965 or 66. I heard it, I liked it, and bought it. It was an EP record and at the time it cost me all of my pocket money save for the bus fare home! I still have it somewhere. So when I saw this record I bought it again, and I'm not sorry I did. Its in Mono and the quality is very high, and the quality of the recording is very good.Of you like Booker T & the MG's you'll love this, and if you don't, then why the are you buying it?

One of many great albums of one of the most underrated bands. The title track has to be one of the most played by bands over the years. Including myself.

Fantastic album, nice green vinyl. Great price too, worth it just for Green Onions. Came sealed and in a stiff cardboard sleeve. Quality recording for a reissue. I’m a happy customer.

Excellent cd for my reggae collection.

Green Onions must have been flogged to death over the years. Four chords turned this jam into a monster hit, and well deserved too. This album takes one back to the 1960s and is brilliantly remastered.The music is simple, guitar and drums and a mog. There are some nice bluesy pieces but over and beyond the Green Onions it is little more than background music.Worth buying for that one track though.

Love Booker T &The MG’s. It’s lovely because I have also the oraginal LP. Wonderful memories.👍
