pretty good
The towels arrive sooner than I expected! The designs were all lovely; I would love to show a picture, but I don't have them all at the moment. They're about 87 cm length wise instead of 90 cm, but it doesn't much too much of a difference unless you need the missing 3 cm. When I first got them, they were actually a little rough? It was very unlike the soft cotton tenugui I bought when I stopped by Japan. I don't know if it's because I have to wash them first, but for now, they serve their purpose. The seller was also very nice and cordial with answering questions and remarks.

Great Towel for Sports Practice
These towels are comfortable and soft. I use them to wipe my face as I get sweaty in martial arts class and to wrap my head in kendo. They're about 3cm shorter than the typical tenugui for a head wrap but still fit well.I received ten random prints including a lot of animals, some generic designs, and the famous Great Wave off Kanagawa. I would rather have the option to select the designs myself, but you can't beat that price per item.

hemmed on 4 sides
Product delivered fairly quickly. Seem to be well made, but they are not what I was looking for. They are far from being traditional Japanese tenugui. Also they are made in China. (though some traditionally made tenugui are made in China) Only one pattern of the ten appealed to me. They are heading directly to the car washing bucket. The product description was lacking in detail, so I knew that ordering this product was a gamble as to what I would receive. But tenugui are generally lower priced if purchased in sets of 3 or 5 tenugui with free shipping. These are ok , functional hand towels. But they are not traditional Japanese tenugui - Which are made from fabric that is woven to a width of 32 ~ 36 mm , leaving a selvage edge on the long side. (this are hemmed on the long side, a sure sign they are made from much wider fabric) and the traditional tenugui are not hemmed on the ends (the short side). they are left un-hemmed, which does two things: helps them dry quicker, and reduces chance of bacteria growing in a damp hem. Tenugui that are hemmed, often called no fray tenugui, are made to meet demand by people who complain about the ends fraying, but I did not want that type, and when they are hemmed the hemming process also results in the tenugui being shorter. But the non-fraying tenugui are still made from fabric woven to be about 33mm in width, with the long sides having a selvage edge. I don't mind the fraying, which never last long, just pull the loose threads off, but not too aggressively, the fraying stops after the fringe becomes 1/4 in / 5mm or so in length. People who complain about fraying I think just don't know the proper way to care for tenugui. This set may make fine functional thin cotton towels for use cleaning, etc. But if you are looking to purchase traditional Japanese tenugui buy different tenugui. Look for Todaya Shoten, hamamonyo or irodori as a good places to start.I find the description of most tenugui on Amazon are vague, you have no idea if they are dyed by the one of the two traditional methods; chūsen (注染 手ぬぐい) that dyes both sides of the fabric the same, or by the nassen (捺染手ぬぐい) where each color of dye is squeegeed onto the top surface, over the stencil pattern, only one side is dyed.Or if the tenugui patterns are made by one of the more modern methods using an ink jet printer using either pigment ink or dye ink. I've not yet seen any - hirali tenugui ( ひらり手ぬぐい ) on Amazon-USA, that are very cool, equally printed on both sides of the fabric, but each side is a different color. Quite the trick on thin cotton fabric. They are printed on a roll printing machine. Only one company knows how to make them this way.[Todaya Shoten, aka rienzome are chūsen dyed. Hamamonyo are nassen dyed. The other tenugui - check the description maybe the dying method will be listed]

Impressive Designs
I really enjoyed the mix that was in this package. These reusable napkins have been a godsend. In fact, I am ordering more to use throughout the week at my home.

No thickness, NOT a towel
You should know that these should be called CLOTHS, not towels. I wanted a towel I can take when traveling, to wipe off after washing up at a public restroom, and to dry my eyeglasses after rinsing them off. I was hoping to get the onsen (bath) towels we used in Japan, which also are thin and light, but have just enough "terrycloth" material to absorb water and give it softness.I knew something was wrong when the 10 "towels" were delivered in an envelope small enough to fit inside my regular sized mailbox. Turns out these have zero thickness and are not very soft, so are quite useless as towels in the usual sense. I cannot see using it as an exercise towel, because it will not absorb more than a few drops of sweat. They do seem to be made of sturdy, slightly coarse cloth, so may be of some use. Maybe they can be used as a "samurai" head band, or to wrap a gift in. But as a towel, NO.

really cute
What a super fun mix of towels! I use them as table runners on my coffee tables and cut one up to make fun patterned handkerchiefs.

Not as expected
The quality is ok but the designs look nothing like what I received. In the image they are fun bold unisex designs. I got all florals that look like old lady bed sheets. Sending back!
