6th grade ninja 3
Rise of the Red Ninja…Con we all knew who the Red Ninja was going to be. We all knew who the Black Ninja was and when he was caught and revealed we knew who he was and why too. Pro..We love how the books teach you stop and analyze things before. That people usually “react” to problems vs solving problems. We liked that his cousin Zoe always has back and stands behind him. He is learning to listen to her wise sage.

SPOILERS ALERT
i give 4 stars because i love the the way his cousin gives him advice on how to deal deal with bullies thats if anythin my YOUNGER cousin practicly bullies me thats 2 stars. i love the action in it the way he is running around the school looking for the red ninja thats bring us up to 3 stars and i love the way he is so calm about everything like he just decides to give up and nows its over for the ninja clan thats anothr plus star. but what i HATE IS THAT HE REFUSES TO SIT AT THE TABLE WITH THE GIRL HE LIKES. I would of jumped at that oppertunity. overall its a great book 4 out of five

Cool and interesting
I chose 5 stars because I like every thing about this book. I gave the first star because I like how the kid stands up for him self. I gave the second star because I like the main characters attitude about the situation. I gave the third star because of how they have characters from the other books in this book and all the other books go along with the book this review is on. I gave the forth star because I like the way they always have a good ending in different ways. I gave the fifth star because of how they use interesting words that make the book fun to read. I think that kids that are nine years old and higher should be reading this book. It is really short and easy to read. But I wouldn't recommend this book to thirteen year olds or higher than that to read this book because of how easy it is to read.

Ninja Theme is Secondary to the Middle School Angst Theme
My first grade boy likes these books, hence the three stars. We are on book #3. But I'm not sure if I will buy any more. I find them a little dark. The main character has a lot of problems with friendships and bullying. I have no problem with that being a theme in the book, as it's certainly something that most children in elementary or middle school will have to deal with. After all, you aren't going to sell many books if you call them Diary of a Wimpy Kid... Oh, wait. I guess you can. But when you buy a book about ninjas you kinda expect it to be about high adventure. The ninja theme is very secondary; I feel that the publishers added it as a side story just to market the books. Here's one example of a conflict in this book: the main character writes a love note to a girl in his class, and the mean kids get ahold of it, copy it, and paste it up all over the school. The boy and the girl are both teased and humiliated. Oh, and once in a while someone puts on a ninja outfit for a few minutes. If you want to buy your child a book about navigating the difficulties of middle school, then by all means get this book. But if you are looking for a ninja book then you may feel misled.

lots of action not long enough
Only 4 stars pretty good because it was a middle school story but i like them longer.I didn't like that the story was over pretty quickly I like longer books. I liked all the action and mystery part but not enough for 5 stars. I like Marcus Emersons books because they have comedy and some action and a little bit of weird.I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and a good middle school story.Written by dad as described by Andrew who is a 4th grader.
