Does inside of box have divider slots ?

The BCW Long Comic Box does not have Divider slots. Comic Dividers are sold separately.

How high is it safe to stack these boxes?

I would go jo higher than 3 or 4 high if you do a criss cross pattern. A fI'll long box weighs around 40 pounds. So if you go higher than 3 or 4 the bottom boxes may crush

Any quick way to "plasticize" the edges of the boxes and lids? Silverfinches get into the tiny openings and lay eggs after a time. Thanks!

You could always run a bead of Zip-A-Way (https://www.amazon.com/Red-Devil-0606-Removable-10-1-Ounce/dp/B001EKHNRS/ref=sr_1_1) around the inside of the box lid before you close it up. The stuff peels off of surfaces easy enough, I imagine it would seal the boxes pretty well too. You'd also need to tape up the handles at the ends too.

Do "current comic book" size toploaders fit in these boxes?

I'm not sure how bug a current top loader is but I do know that silver age size books with backing boards do fit in these boxes except at the very front or back of the boxes. Golden age books will not fit in these boxes. I hope my answer helps
