A fantastic book! I'm not an expert by any means but I picked out a border I liked and managed it with minimal help. Looks great on the ends of a fabric scarf.

Las fotografías de las muestras son claras.Todas las puntillas son de un color de hilo poco atractivo y anticuado. Además no explican como hacer las esquinas. Pero merece la pena la compra. El libro lo incluyo en mi biblioteca personal para tenerlo a mano en mis futuros trabajos.

I have had to downsize my pattern files , but still want a range of stitch patterns .. so, this sort of book is perfect for that ... many great illustrations and instructions .. and full of ideas for future 'wanna do ' projects... space saver and great to just browse thru to enjoy the having of such a versatile volume... even at 80 years old, I still have a long list of ideas for using what this book offers..

This is great reference tool for the beginner or the advanced crocheter. While I have been crocheting for nearly 40 years I experienced not yet truly advanced. I am working to develop my skills to become advanced. This is one of the reference books I needed to do just that. As well as challenge myself to create my own patterns and designs.I really like the way that Ms. Scharpper has her books organized. Both this book and her Crochet Stitch designs begin with a common sense table of contents (TOC) that is laid out the way a crocheter thinks. Such as edging from single, half double, double, puff, etc. At the beginning is a great refresher of standard stitches and all international symbols. Her other book on Crochet Stitch Designs begins the same way, sans a pictorial TOC.I am very happy that I purchased these two books to build my needlework library. This is a great books for anyone that crochets. It has just about every boarder I have seen in nearly 40 years of crochet and many I have never used. I have looked through and tried several. I have been working on several crochet projects and have not had a chance to dive into it and crochet more. But. each border design is shown in a picture with step-by-step instructions (well written) and a diagram showing each stitch design. Wonderful and exceptional.I would recommend this book to any crocheter. You will not be disappointed in your purchase.
