Zanies 15" Figure-8 Rope and Tennis Ball Dog Toys, with 2 Tennis Balls

For design I give this item 5 stars. Two tennis balls, plus rope loops, plus a center rope knot all provide great grips for any dog, and this has become my puppys favorite toy to play Tug with. He's addicted!Unfortunately for durability I give this item 1 star, resulting in an overall average rating of 3 stars. My Zanies lasted only 2 play sessions of 15mins each and my puppy ripped one of the tennis balls completely into 2 pieces that separated from the rope. The rope already shows extreme signs of fraying all along the surfaces he grips on, I think it will only be a matter of a week or two before he breaks a loop apart.He loves it so much I haven't the heart to deprive him of it, so im ordering another for him to destroy. I wish the tennis balls were thicker rubber and that the rope was more fray resistant. It should last for more than half an hour of play before parts start breaking off to justify the price of $20. Either beef up materials or lower the price.

I decided to buy this for 8 month old OES dog because she loves playing tug-a-war with ropes. The only problem with classic style ropes is she can undo the knots at the ends and then I have shredded rope all over the house. Since this one doesn't have knots at the ends I was hoping it would last longer. Well It came in the mail yesterday, and in less than 24 hours she had all the fuzz pulled off the tennis balls. She has regular tennis balls to play with and hasn't managed to do that to any of them, so I don't know if that means the balls on this rope are a poorer quality or not but as of about 5 minutes ago she has also torn one of the balls completely off the rope. I'm giving it 3 stars because my dog loves to play with and I'm not sure if she might just be a above average chewer and that is why she has torn it up so quickly.

Well, I had such high hopes for this one. Our sweet yellow lab loves her tennis ball toys and ropes are a plus every time! Sadly, about 10 minutes after the first indoor toss (we never even made it outside to try) she had the taped and hot glued end of the rope undone, the plastic-like halved tennis ball split open and pieces of yellow felt all over the living room. As I was picking up the felt and rubber she managed to rip apart the rope piece by piece and turned it into a nice floss pompom piece. Oh Well, still looking......

This toy did not survive 24 hours with my dog. A tennis ball came off and it became unknotted. I disposed of it immediately. Please take my review under advisement and do not purchase this toy for your beloved dog.
