Works exactly as you'd expect. Great as a drop in to existing old housing if compatible
My 25 year old broan 50CFM 4.0 was failing, so it was time to replace. I made sure this one fit into the existing housing, so installation was a breeze. It really is a lot quieter at 2.0, if you use the fan to cover the sound of you taking a dump you might want to go louder. But I prefer a quieter fan. Apparently it is more energy efficient as well while still pulling out the same air, but I could find no information as to power usage. i've had this for some months now and no issues at all. If I had to complain, it looks like the new cover design may restrict airflow a bit, but at only 50CFM, its likely not.

Wish the cover would cover better
Fan is very quiet and easy to install, the only gripe I have is the cover. I used it in a powder room, once I walk in I can see the rough drywall because of the cover. However I can easily replace the cover which is quite affordable. If this is mounted on a higher ceiling, I don't think it would be an issue at all.

Great value for the price!
Great value for the price! Easy 5 minute replacement of existing older model; with a single flat head screw driver. And yes, it is SUPER QUIET vs the old one. WIN-WIN.

Quiet. At last!
Much quieter than the Broan fan it replaced, for about the same price.

Functionally great, this cover is ugly
Fan works fine, much quieter than original from 1990, but get the finned cover not the solid as pictured. You can see right into the guts of the fan and is extremely unattractive. $2 more for the other cover. I'll be spending $12 for a replacement due to cosmetics.

Does NOT fit in old Air King AS50 housing
Black fan is this product. White fan is Air King AS50. Housing show is Air King AS50. Notice the gap/space between the fan, and top edge. The fan is set back a couple inches to make space for the outlet in the housing. This replacement fan is right on the edge so it hits the outlet. It doesn't fit even though everything else seems like a perfect match. My fan is 3 years old, and make a rattling sound. I ended up cleaning the fan blades of dust and dirt. Dust can cause an imbalance. Use canned air to clean every bit of it. Use microcloth to wipe. Rattling is gone.
