Love Flexifoil. This company is the guru of kites. I've had a variety of kites over the years but when it comes to safety, quality and performance, they are the authority. I've had this out in light winds and in fairly strong winds. Handles great and the power is ample. If you are looking for a great kite on a bar, I recommend this.

The 2.4m2 is great fun and very easy to fly for adults. Was not sure how much power it would have but it feels very exciting without feeling you are going to get dragged away even in quite strong winds. Children would find it more demanding so I would suggest close supervision. It is good looking and very well made. Close inspection of the lines and sail show attention to detail and a high quality finish. The safety line works well and I would say is an essential feature for young or inexperienced flyers.

These are simply incredible.If you're thinking of trying kite surfing, or any kite sport out - buy one of these and head to an open area with wind. They are fool-proof and wonderful, even if you decide you don't like kite surfing at the end of it all, you could still use these as a fun toy on the beach.5/5

I bought this kite for my son to learn kite flying in preparation for kite surfing next year. He loves it, find it far easier to fly than my larger Rage kites that over power him. The reverse take off using the break line is great practice for him.Looking forward to trying it out with a harness & land board, which should be fun.The quality is typical Flexifoil, well made & from decent materials. It came as a complete package & ready to fly straight out of the bag with everything that you need.My only critisim would be the bag. Good quality but the carry handle is a bit of a disappointment, prefer the bags on the Rage & Sting kites.Overall, recommend not only as a training kite but also as a good light wind fun kite that anyone can fly, it'll be out again this weekend.

First of all do not get frustrated if this is your first kite, it does take some learning. Once you get the hang of it the fun really kicks in it really has strong power. I tried to fly in 4 to 5 mph wins with no success on Florida beaches I know Florida have low wins. Once the higher winds came 10 to 12 mph the power truly showed up. It stood up to very hard crashes with no damage, there is a bit of a learning curve. Once you get it you got it and the fun really begins this is a great kite. By the way I bought and have the 3.3

This trainer kite is exactly what I expected. The bar and lines are nice and the manual is easy to understand. The kite flies very well and I am eager to spend more time practicing so I can get to a point where I can kiteboard. The price is competitive and I liked getting it through Amazon because it arrived really fast. Overall I have nothing but good things to say about this purchase. I expect to have my kite for a long time to help me develop, and then continue to practice, my kiting skills.

Good quality, durable kite. Fun to play.Couple of minor notes: the ropes sometimes pass color to my hands when untangling.The middle rope hand harness is causing tangles in middle line. I opened it and attached it to handle bar and issue resolved.Update After 2 years:Still love my kite. My kiteboarding instructor was saying trainer kite is an adult pacifier and I confess that!!

Got to fly my new kite this weekend. Not my first Flexifoil kite and definitely won't be my last :)Its easy to go for some of the cheap kites but this blows them out of the water. Superbly built and solid from that perspective.

I purchased the Control 2.4 for fun, training, workout, and to have some extra fun on flatlands with my snowboard during winter months. The 2.4 will fly down to 6 mph but it is challenging to keep aloft. 8-10 mph is just plain fun, 12-14 mph and the kite really comes alive and is very fast with a good strong pull. Don't try anything over 15 mph until you have a good handle on keeping the kite under control. In 15-20 mph wind the 2.4 can drag my 200lbs around with ease. Spend an extra 15-20 bucks and get a hand held anemometer so you know what the wind is doing before you fly!The kite comes ready to fly and is _very_ well made. On my first flight in 15+ mph wind I let it get a little low and holly crap, a small gust (~18-20mph) hit right as it was passing downwind @~30 degrees elevation and ripped the handle out of my hands (sent me flying onto my front side about 10' down wind!). I was not giving it enough respect and it complained rather forcefully. During this event, the safety bungee broke at both ends.I provided this information to Peter at Flexfoil, not expecting anything other than advice on replacement material. He offered to replace the broken part and had a replacement sent from the Flexfoil warehouse the next day. The parts (he sent two!) arrived about 6 days later from England. Thank you Flexfoil. The paracord I was using in place of the bungee worked fine, but the bungee is more convenient in use.Flexfoil produces a quality product that they stand behind. They will be at the top of my list when I purchase a kiteboard kite next summer. I am very happy with this product and Flexfoil.

Works well, I have used it for hours. Tough kite - been crashed a lot with no damage or parts breaking. Quality workmanship.

Haven't flown a bunch of other kites, but this one is fun and easy to control. At 2.4 m it flies easily in 8-10 mph and starts to pull pretty strong around 14. Well made. Dirt-outs in 2 corners easy to clean out. I bought it to train for kiteboarding and would say its serving well. The third line is terrific for solo re-launching, even from nose-down--saves a lot of walking back to the kite.... 2 thumbs up.
