Cuddeback J Camera D Battery Pack, Model:3495

Initially purchased these for my Cuddeback E series cameras that stay in the woods all of the off season. They will keep the camera active for a continuous 8 months monitoring feeders and mineral sites. Also, during hunting season they act as battery boosters for my repeaters and home in my Cuddelink system. I operate 18 cameras, 5 repeaters and 1 Home cell camera. I think, next year I'll add them to my Cuddelink J series cameras too. Some of the more active sites like feeders have battery lives that don't make the full 110 day season, especially with a lot of night pictures. I'll just have to get the special J series cables from Cuddeback. Never had one fail. Well worth the price!

Inexpensive, easy to install, and saves a fortune in battery cost.

I upgraded my Cuddelink J cameras with these D battery packs and so far have 130 days of battery life and counting with Amazon branded D batteries. Definitely a good upgrade from the 12 AA battery pack that comes standard which was giving me about 70 days with Amazon AA batteries. You can find these cheaper on other website.

Works like a charm. One of the camera's battery case got wet and corroded. Needed a replacement. This works like a charm. Can't wait to see how long it will last compared to 12 AA batteries.

Went from the 12AAs to the D Cells. Almost 2 months so far and the ads are still going. One camera has over 4000 images and still going on the Duracell’s.

Bought the Dual Cell 3-1 Starter Kit in November and upgraded all four camera battery packs to the J Series in April when they were finally off back-order. Three of four had terminal contact connection issues. If you leaned the units (after replacing the old battery pack with the new D J Series pack) you could hear the batteries moving around inside the new pack and unfortunately in most leaned positions the unit lost battery connection and therefore would not run or was having to reset because of power loss. Overall I was absolutely sick to my stomach because I had invest close to $900 dollars in the system which took me over a year to save up for. I had a choice to buy a new hunting rifle or these units and I made the wrong one. I was able to finally get the units hung at just the right angle and tape them down and set them up but within a few days they had moved around enough and the power connection was again lost to all three units that has connection issues. To add insult to injury when I went to retrieve the units the new battery packs were wet inside from the rain which was a mystery to me as they looked like they had a good seal. And trust me that I installed them EXACTLY as the directions stated. Unfortunately the standard battery packs (AA) lasted only a month and half so the idea of me being able to stay out of my hunting areas and still getting images (the only reason to go cellular) was now off the table. Super disappointed but I am going to reach out to the Cuddeback folks and see if they will honor their product. Will write an update when I know more. Right now I would stay away from this upgrade and honestly I would stay away from Cuddeback until they show that they are committed to fixing or refunding.

Works well, but you are better off with the solar panel, you never have to touch the cameras.
