I confess that I do get a little nervous when we are talking about a battery box that is metal, since metal conducts electricity so well - we shall see over time if this ends up being a big mistake! The box itself requires assembly and arrives flat, but is easy enough to put together. There are thick grommets for the wires to the battery, and a standard battery will fit fine, though a larger marine battery might have some trouble, so be sure to know the measurements of your battery before purchasing. The metal seems to be good quality, and I am hoping it is actually stainless steel, otherwise I am going to run into issues as I have this in a marine environment. It's a nice product.

This box arrived in a flat, heavy box - I was expecting something larger than a size 27 box. The battery case arrives in pieces, needing assembly. It does go together quickly, and the hardware appears to be high quality; the metal edges are sharp, however. The metal is thicker than some, and once assembled it feels very sturdy. It certainly will hold a size 27 battery with ease, and won't crack like plastic ones. With all of the seams, just don't expect it to be very waterproof.

This box is nearly bulletproof in terms of its strength! It’s sheet steel but really thick sheet metal thats extremely rigid. It’s probably twice as thick and rigid as a metal file cabinet . If I had to say it feels like an ammo can.The hardware is insane!! Is anodized grade 8 hardware. Definitely overkill but much appreciated especially when spending $500 plus on a lithium setup. It’s a lot bigger than I expected but there’s room for most large sized marine batteries. I’m using this for my auxiliary battery on my 4x4 but I’m happy I can get a bigger battery that will be up and out of the way safely and securely. Definitely worth it five stars, easy!

Battery box worked perfect, came disassembled and took some time to put everything together. Edges are sharp, so watch your fingers, or wear some gloves!Once it was all put together, battery fit in perfect to keep everything clean, dry and safe.

As far as the product goes, that is good. But it's not waterproof, there's too many seams, and it is held together with screws and nuts even though you cannot see them in the picture. With that being said, it is good. Made of stainless steel, six pieces in total. The handles on the side are spring loaded, the clamps for the lid are spring loaded so they should stay down unless they're in a rough environment. All the holes come with grommets, all the hardware is stainless steel, even comes with a screwdriver and wrench to put everything together. And this will fit a group 27 battery.

Took awhile to put this together. The box is very strong and durable. Using it to hold battery on back of a tractor. I like the handles at end of box to make it easy to carry.
