Review: The Book, With The Tools You Didn't Know You Needed! - Having ADHD and issues with over commitment, I completely forgot about this book and then one day, I got another reminder about leaving a review! I'm so glad she didnt give up on me! From the Introduction to the last exercise, Sleep Tracking for ADHD, this book kept me engaged and actively moving through the exercises, once I got started! It explained things that I could never put into words and helped with the many tools, from planners and trackers, regulating emotions and communication to meal planning. I highly recommend this book and the tools provided. I see so much progress and the possibilities are endless. I'm grateful that someone was able to document and share the guidance and tools I paid an ADHD Coach to implement in my son's life during high school. Now I have a fighting chance as well! Get the book, you won't regret it. Review: Engaging with bullet points and checklists. Perfect for people with ADHD - I agree with the author: Clutter is a visual and mental irritant, draining our energy and keeping our minds in a state of low-level stress. Like background noise. I like that this book has short paragraphs with lots of bullet points, checklists, and engaging bubble quotes. Perfect for people with ADHD who find organization and staying focused on a task a challenge and overwhelming. The 5-minute task technique is a handy tip. The author also offers many tips for an ADHD-friendly organization plan, such as having a planner, sticky notes, and color coding. Most helpful to me was the kick-starting, the routine/habit building, how to visualize and develop a mindset, and mental prep for the task at hand- basically, how to avoid procrastination and task paralysis. Lots of insights and tips in the chapter Decluttering 101. There are two sections. The first part is about getting yourself organized, while the second part dives into the main areas of the house as well as clearing the digital clutter and tips on meal planning and grocery shopping. Highly recommended and good value. My opinions are my own.

Finally, a Decluttering Guide That Seems to Truly Understands the ADHD Brain
ADHD Organizing and Cleaning Solutions by Caroline Singer is a gem for anyone who’s struggled to find practical, manageable ways to tackle chaos and clutter. As someone with AuDHD, I often feel overwhelmed before I even begin cleaning or organizing—paralyzed by the sheer amount of tasks and decisions to make. This book didn’t just understand that feeling; it offered real, doable solutions. The concept of the 5-minute task is a game-changer. Breaking chores into bite-sized, ADHD-friendly actions helped me push past procrastination and make progress without feeling like I was climbing a mountain. I especially loved the room-by-room strategies—it’s like having a step-by-step guide tailored to my brain. The sections on conquering "doom piles" (you know the ones) were both relatable and incredibly helpful, making it easier to finally tackle those anxiety-inducing spaces. What stood out the most was how compassionate and understanding the book feels. It doesn’t make you feel judged for your struggles; instead, it gently guides you toward solutions that actually work for ADHD minds. And the weekly meal-planning section? A huge win for combatting decision fatigue. By the end of the book, I felt more motivated than I’ve been in ages. It gave me a sense of direction and permission to celebrate small wins along the way. If you’re looking for a supportive, practical toolkit to help you declutter, organize, and feel a little more in control of your space, this is it. Highly recommend!

10/10 Life changing read and great to revisit for reference!
This is the BIBLE on household management that feels realistic! Having read multiple books on similar topics including household guides from the 90s, and an organization book by a mother of 10(hey I figured if she could do it, it’ll make me feel more inspired as a household of 1), nothing hits home as much as this book did. This book makes me feel seen, understood, and inspired to finally get my act together! I love how it starts by alleviating judgment and describing how the brain functions. One of the chapters that is pure gold is the one on recommended tools and apps, many I haven’t heard of before. The cherry on top is the dedicated chapter on doom piles. I love the actionable and realistic questions and checklists. It makes tackling this feel attainable for once and it’s not just about how to do it, but also more importantly, how to maintain! I also love that there are great summaries of some amazing experts and considerations for their utility with ADHD brains.

Valuable quide
I appreciated how the book was tailored specifically for the ADHD mind, with clear, easy-to-follow advice and short, concise chapters that make it simple to reference. However, I think the book could improve by including more real-life examples or case studies to illustrate the strategies in action. While the tips are helpful, seeing how others with ADHD applied them would have added more depth and relatability. Overall, it’s a valuable guide for anyone looking to bring order to their home and life!

very good, especially for ADHD
This book is short and sweet, so that works wonders for an ADHD mind. It's concise and to the point, with tons of good tips. Would've loved more practical examples or case studies maybe, but it's a good and helpful read either way.
