Bought these to replace a old pair used for cold water swiming. Took a gamble on these and did my research and these came out on top.

Go with the sizing on the chart.
I was sceptical getting a waist sizing smaller than I normally get. XL instead of XXL but based on chart and previews reviews I went for the XL having a 40” waist. They fit perfectly. Snug which is what you want in these shorts. Not using them for surfing for a couple of weeks yet hence why only 4* as haven’t actually tested them in action!

Almost perfect
I was worried about the size but went by the size chart and for me it was just right. Material looks good, stile good well packaged and good service. Very happy so far as I haven't been in the water yet. The only thing I would change for me the leg length could be an inch or two shorter as it finishes just on the knee which gives that little gap at the bottom. Overall for the price very good.
