Blended Smoothie, 3-Pound Bag Instant Frappe Powder Mix, Strawberry Banana [3 LB] [34 Servings]

I opted for a change in the recipe because of my love for Tropical Smoothie. I added 5 oz of orange juice, 1/4 cup of mix, a little over a cup of frozen strawberries and bananas, and milk. It was nice and thick but full of flavor. Highly recommend.

I discovered boba tea just a few months ago, but the ONLY shop near me is a good 1/2 hour away, and I don't get my boba as often as I would like. And as you know, it isn't cheap! So I decided to try making my own. My first tries were just sweet milk teas, and while good, they weren't like the boba at the shop. And they had no bubbles! So, I decided to check Amazon for the black tapioca balls and while checking, I found the Angel Specialty Products creme blends. I purchased 3 different flavors, taro because that's the only flavor of boba I had tried so far, Honeydew, and this one, Strawberry-banana. I held off reviewing this one because I've been mostly drinking the taro flavor, and hadn't tried this one yet. Well, yesterday I made REAL boba tea, with bubbles, and with this flavor. OMG, WINNER!!! All three flavors are great, and while I do still love my taro, I'm not sure it's my favorite anymore! And the best part? I was in town the other day, and did stop for a boba tea. And I happened to see the woman making it pull out a bag of mix to make my tea... AND IT WAS ANGEL'S BRAND!!! The same stuff the boba tea shop uses is now sitting in MY kitchen, and I can have boba tea WHENEVER I WANT IT! Thanks Angel Specialty Products for wonderful products, you KNOW I'll be back for more!

So here’s the story - I’ve bought multiple flavors by this brand and for WHATEVER reason, this one does NOT blend smoothly. I mix this with HOT black tea and shake it in a shaker bottle for a really long time. No matter how hot you mix it or how much you shake it, it doesn’t blend smoothly - there are always bits floating around. The taste, however, is perfect. Once I blend it as much as I can, I add milk and ice for boba tea. Once the milk is added it’s much less noticeable unless it’s sitting for a bit - then it looks like it starts to separate. I’m on my third bag, so it’s definitely not product defect of 1 bag...and I will keep buying it because, again, the taste is literally the BEST.

I just add one scoop to my homemade smoothies and it adds that extra boost! It's GREAT! Also, if you use the normal two scoops with country time lemonade powder and ice... Make it into a smoothie and you're good to go!!!!

It’s good tasting but maintains a powdery taste.

Taste great , easy to prepare and really like the package size and amount .

Great base for a protein shake, my son just adds the smoothie mix, some protein powder, strawberry kiwi water and ice to a shaker bottle and boom. Shake and go.

I was hesitant to buy because I know bana can be a dificult flavor to get right. Unfortunately it did not taste as I wished . And to add insult to injury I wasn't able to buy a smaller bag to sample it before committing to this huge bag. Now I'm stuck with all this powder and can't bring myself to throw it away 😭. Maybe I'll try next to just getting strawberry only flavor and adding a fresh banana?
