How to use your Trekking Poles 1. Unfold the sections and insert the bottom section into the top one.2. Hold the handle with one hand and with the other pull out the 3rd section that is stored inside the handle (you will see an arrow marked pull).3. Continue to pull firmly (don’t be afraid to apply a little force) until the little metal locking knob clicks. All sections should be tight now.4. Flip the lever and turn the "easy twist" locking mechanism counterclockwise to adjust the 4th section to your preferred height. NOTE: The “Stop” warning should not be visible when using your poles. Please Note: While the poles are built with 100% ultralight carbon fiber for unreal lightness, we did allow for the bottom section to be built with aluminum since that part absorbs most of the shock and aluminum is stronger, allowing for more durability.Specifications:Collapsed in the carry bag: 17 inches, 1.5 lbs. Pathetic Customer Service
I have try Multiple time to get my warranty information to return these hiking sticks. While I was hiking Mt. Fuji both hiking sticks broke in the same location. I was able to rig them so I could continue on the hike. I want to get my warranty for the sticks yet NO ONE WILL REPLY!! I even tried contacting the Maker and still NO REPLY.I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROVIDED AND/OR THE MANUFACTURER.

I am a 72 yr old grandmother of soccer players that expect me to be at their games. Unfortunately I have MS. I've developed drop toe and my sense of balance has much to be desired. Many of the playing fields are uneven turf and getting to them is a challenge. I showed up to my first soccer game this year using my Trekking poles and my granddaughters were impressed. I can't wait to take the poles down to Costa Rica this winter so I can go back to Monteverdi and Santa Elena. I am mobile again!

Not for rugged trails, use aluminum.
The following review was what I wrote earlier. Since then I was given a pair of aluminum poles by the company as retribution. They explained that carbon poles are not as durable as aluminum, especially for more rugged trails. I used the aluminum poles on a couple hikes and had no problems. I still think the rubber boot attachments should screw on. (Terrible craftsmanship. First day of hiking the top of one pole broke off when leaning on it to get down a steep rocky trail. The next day the top section of the pole came out of the connection, the glue came undone I guess. The larger rubber feet are great for rocky trails but they come off if they get a little stuck between rocks. They should screw on rather than just push on. I was really disappointed, they are NOT rhino tough!)

Great Quality Poles
Very pleased with these poles. The design is well thought out and they are well manufactured. Tips for all kinds of surfaces are included as well. My only complaint (but not enough to deduct a star) is that the bag to carry them is a bit small making the poles tough to get in.How I review:When I review a product said product automatically starts with four stars as I rarely will purchase anything below four stars. I then add and/subtract stars based on certain criteria as listed below.1. If an item is exactly what I expected and nothing more it will receive a four star rating2. If an item surpasses my expectations it will gain a star (5 Stars)3. If an item goes slightly below my expectations it will lose a star (3 Stars)4. If the instructions for the product (if needed) are poorly written (hard to understand due to language issues or grammar) or just too hard to follow it will lose a star no matter if the product meets or exceed my expectations5. If a product is significantly below my expectations I will deduct two stars6. It will be rare that I would give a product one star since I buy mostly items that have a 4+ rating but in rare instances there may be a good reason that even a four star product receives a one star rating from me. It could be because of customer service issues from the company but whatever the case is I will clearly explain my reason for giving a product only one star

Awesome Trekking poles, amazing quality for the price.
These trekking poles are great they really take the pressure off my legs and hips when I’m walking and give my arms a great work out as well as my legs. They really help me carry the heavy backpacks I need on long distance hikes and take the weight off my shoulders. The wrist straps help transfer the weight of my upper body onto the poles and mean I don’t have to grip them too hard. I’m really impressed by them.

All the features for a lot less money.
I was afraid to expect much for the price, but was happily surprised. I own Diamond poles but due to a car accident that crushed my ankle, I ended up in another state 3000 miles away without my stuff. In a year I have graduated from a wheelchair to a walker to a forearm crutch. My ankle specialist recommended trekking poles. These help me walk more balanced and not leaning to one side. I feel safer from falls but walk more naturally. I really don't know what the much more expensive poles have that these don't. These are lighter and fold down smaller. They are so easy to adjust. I don't know how they would last under hard and heavy use, but for my purposes they are perfect. The cork grips are the best!

Impressive Quality and Packability at a great price.
I am very impressed with the Quality of these Poles. I was about to Shell out $200 for similar Carbon Fiber Poles. I'm an avid backpacker and recently bent my more expensive Poles on a Rocky section hike of the AT. These pole are very strong and just what I need continue my Journeys. They also pack much smaller than usual. This makes it easy to fit inside or strap to the outside of my pack when on flat terrain. I don't worry about getting caught up in branches or getting snagged while going under a fallen tree or holding both poles with one hand anymore, which is awesome !

Easily broken
I'm really bummed about these, they broke on the first trip. The tiny cord clamp on the inside that prevents you from pulling the cord past extension slid right off when I was extending the pole for our return trek. I was able to open it up and Macguyver the problem, but it took time and effort AND it's a temporary fix. What's more, I'm 5 days out from the return date, so I'm stuck with this broken trekking pole.

Strong and Portable
Very pleased with these poles. They fold down to a very reasonable size and fit into even a small suitcase. They are comfortable to hold and seem sturdy enough - the folding design would make me reluctant to put a lot of weight onto them but I have found that for walking - even in quite rugged terrain - they do the job very well.On first use, I made the rather foolish mistake of sliding the mud guards onto the poles - not realizing they actually screw on! After a couple of miles I realised I had lost both but was very fortunate in being able to retrace my steps and recover them. I think a user error rather than a product fault but worth sharing just in case anyone else has the same challenge!Recommended.

Lightweight and very supportive.
Excellent poles for assisting walking with a longterm back injury. Because they are lightweight and have very comfortable grips these poles take a lot of the pressure and help you walk square.
