This is a motherboard for professionals. Although, there is nothing to stop you from gaming on it. It is very powerful and quite cutting edge technology wise. It has lots of nice features. It is very fast, stable and reliable. I would say it even looks good if you are into stealthy PC builds. Not too many flashing color LEDs here.

Nice motherboard. The Adobe Creative Cloud credit makes it about $180 cheaper for those that use it, which puts this at around the same price as the TUF line. Three Thunderbolt ports are awesome. Kind of an art deco design; much more aesthetically pleasing than the gamer-focused boards.

I have bought the ASUS ProArt z890 creator WIFI. This is my 5th replacement and it still has problems. First one I bought didn't turn on the pc. 2nd did the same thing. 3rd replacement PC was able to turn on and the DP port did not work, wifi was constantly disappearing after a few min would had to restart to have it reappear, Thunderbolt port works for a few days and then it fail. The ASUS ROG Strix LC III 360 ARGB LCD All-in-one CPU Liquid Cooler I bought that was recommend for this MOBO CPU Fan connection would random disconnect and reconnect. 4th mobo replacement, the DP Port still fail to work, wifi still randomly fail (Turns out this was the current software problem and I revert it back the previous firmware, I no long have wifi randomly disappearing). I also got a replacement ASUS ROG Strix LC III 360 ARGB LCD All-in-one CPU Liquid Cooler and was still getting the random disconnect. So I bought a different cooling fan brand TRYX Panorama SE 360 ARGB 360mm AIO Rotatable 6.67 and no more random CPU Fan disconnect. 5th MOBO replacement still have DP port not working. So my guess is it is a Bios firmware problem that ASUS need to fix.

Really nice quality board. I think it’s going to last for a long time. Worked flawlessly. Looks are understated in a good way.

Maybe I am being too nice here but in general I am very satisfied with ASUS motherboards and their support. I installed this Z890 and found that the Display Port did not bring up video and the motherboard audio Mic input did not work. I tried four different DP cables and spent time looking at the RealTek software thinking I was doing something wrong but all DP cables and the headset I was using worked on another computer. I am returning the board but also I am purchasing another to replace it as I really like the board and ASUS says these issues are an anomaly.

Still waiting on other components to test it. But the build quality and design are crazy impressive.

Pro: With latest bios updates, this board is solid. Con: Asus removed the PC speaker 4 pin header on the board, so no beep when booting.

Wouldn’t boot. Finally realized some of the cpu pins were bent.
