It works
It works pretty well, 4G speeds most of the time when I was in Japan. Also used it in Malaysia. Would buy again, much cheaper than sim cards in Japan. I think Chian Unicom also sells Japan only sim cards but last I checked the expiration date was really soon so I didn't go for those. These expire next year so plenty of time to use them.

Worked well through northern Taiwan.
Worked great all around northern Taiwan in late 2019. Worth the money! Allowed me to have a functioning SIM card as soon as I landed in Taipei.

Worked Great for Japan + South Korea
Worked great in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, and Seoul. Was connected to Softbank everywhere in Japan and connected to SKT in south korea, got LTE speeds. Very satisfied!!
