This lug installer is built outta steel just like the name brand one at my work. This lug installer has bearings just like the name brand installer at my work. This lug installer works just as well as the name brand installer at my work.The principle is simple. Knock out the old lug stud. Slide the new lug stud in place, then slip this installer over the threads of the new lug stud. Lubricate the threads of the new lug stud. Hand tighten the lug nut onto the new lug stud, until it makes contact with the installer. Now use a hand ratchet to tighten the lug nut and pull the stud into your axle or hub. When the stud is fully seated, remove the lug nut and installer.This works way better than a stack of washers and it doesn't damage your expensive lug nuts.

This is made of hardened steel with phosphorus coating. I like how it's designed to work with the shape of most vehicles lug nuts. The shiny steel surface protrudes slightly and pivots on a set of bearings to be able to rotate easily as it pulls the wheel stud through the hub. Works great. Easy to use. Replaced a broken wheel stud on my 2015 Toyota Tundra with it.
