CONFORMAX Airmax Car Seat-Back Gel Cushion

My first order was for the seat and back. As I have another gel seat, this time I only ordered the back. Here's the kicker - neither are in my cars. After searching online and in-person for quality seating for an antique metal rocking chair for my screened-in covered porch, I couldn't find anything that wasn't gaudy, uncomfortable, and poorly constructed. I found this on Amazon and took a chance. It is perfect. Well-made, supportive, and very comfortable. It worked so good, I ordered just the back for an antique rocking chair in my office that I use often for 10 hours a day. Well worth the money. Someday I might decided to use one in my car. If so, this will be the brand I choose.

This saved my neck and back! I have an active head restraint headrest that pushes your head forward and forces you into a crazy posture. These headrests are very common now... they allow car companies to easily pass safety checks because of course you won't get whiplash with your head forced forward but in the meantime it can reak HAVOC on your body while you drive. This fills the gap so that I'm in alignment while driving! It is the best product for this purpose and super comfortable!

I bought this item because I saw it recommended on a Chevy Bolt EV forum to solve a problem that many drivers have: the headrest is fixed so that with normal seat adjustments it forces your head forward into an unbalanced position. The product did an excellent job of pushing my back forward just enough so that my head has adequate range of motion, without compromising the safety purpose of the headrest. In normal driving it's also very comfortable. The only disadvantage I've noticed is that on hot days, my back is not ventilated and can get a bit hot and sweaty. Hence 4 rather than 5 stars. Not sure why I didn't have the same problem before with the leather seats, but I only noticed it with the cushion.

I have a 2020 Honda Civic and the seats are as comfortable as sitting on a bag of concrete mix. I spend 20 hours a week in the car and was close to trading it in on something else. I bought two cushions that saved the day. This review is for the back cushion. It's a little pricey but it seems to be very well made and should hold up for a while. The gel doesn't sag or collect in the bottom as with other products. It's very comfortable and has been a game changer for me and my Civic. Definitely recommended.

I love this cushion. It helps me sit up straight while driving and either minimizes or eliminates back pain on longer drives. Bucket seats are terrible for my back. This is the only thing I have found that provides the support I need.

Ever since I bought a newer car, my back & neck have been killing me. I realized the newer seats & non-adjustable headrests put the driver in a cocoon/fetal position. While we may be "safer" like that, we are wrecking our backs & necks! My chiropractor - while appreciating seeing me so often - even recommended maybe I should just buy a different car. So I spent over a hundred dollars on various back cushions for my car, to try to resolve the situation, to no avail. I finally took to googling what car to buy that will be comfortable for my back. What? Buy a different car just because of an uncomfortable seat & headrest? Well, that's where I was at. As a last ditch effort, somehow I saw this. But yikes it's pricey! No way! Then again, I truly was at the point of just buying a new car. Fine, I'll try this expensive back cushion with great reviews. Well hallelujah my back & neck prayers have been answered. Throw away all the other useless ones I bought. This is THE ONE that works! I'm no longer in a cocoon while driving! My shoulders are learning to go back where they belong. I can finally move my head, and even wear a ponytail! I'm actually planning to buy a 2nd one, for when I'm in the passenger seat (it's equally as cocooning, which is torturous on any drive, but especially long drives). I did not buy the seat cushion, because - let's face it - I was jaded from already buying so many back cushions, I was not wanting to spend more money than I had to. But wow, this back cushion is fantastic, so maybe I should? I've decided against the seat cushion simply because I like my seat heater, and I don't want to completely not feel it (since this back cushion blocks me from feeling the seat heater on my back). Overall, I am 100% happy with this, and am so glad I get to keep my car!

Finally found a seat cushion that alleviates my low back pain when sitting in my horribly uncomfortable Accord seats! My Dr. suggested to look for a flat thinner back support cushion or look for another car. Sit on type of cushions or curved back support cushions did not work for my low back disability. Kind of pricey for a seat cushion but for me it's worth every penny! Straps and cushion are of good quality. Ordered two by mistake but, it's all good because sometimes the quality drops by the time you make a second purchase.

Used it in my Jaguar car which has very stiff leather seats that hurt my back day to day. I bought this thinking it would solve that issue seeing how it was advertised as a gel pad. The only thing is it is a stiff gel. More like the gel foam you find in beds. So in the end, this thing is almost as stiff as my car's seats. It does reduce back soreness, but not to the level I expected it to. Especially for the money I paid for this thing. If I had to do it again I would buy something else.
