This pepperoncino has only moderate heat - say a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1 -10 (10 the hottest). But it does have a wonderful fruitiness that really adds flavor. My wife who can't eat really spicy, hot foods loves this. I like it also when I want a seasoning that isn't too hot. i will buy this again.

This is not like red pepper flakes for those of you that are looking for that kind of flavor and heat. This definitely has some heat but not than that is provides flavor. It is a briny kind of flavor or almost has a pickled undertone to it. It adds pop to certain recipes.

The media could not be loaded. I liked it so much in my Soppressata, I’m using in my cioppino tonight.

Of the crushed chili peppers I've tried, this one has the best flavor. It's not flat tasting like other brands. It has a delicious complex sweetness accompanied with the heat. Hard to describe. Must try!!

A bit more tomato flavor than a standard red pepper and moderate heat. A good addition to a pepper collection

Hard to find good Calabrese chilis; they got the good stuff!
