Wi-Fi Water Leak Detector (SBS50 Base Station Required), 1 SWS0A Water Sensor

Works well with base station, but ,for reasons I don't understand, no longer available on Amazon.

I just installed a reverse osmosis drinking water filtering system under the sink. With all the tubing down there, I didn't want to take any chances. I tested it and it worked splendidly.

I installed the X-Sense Wi-Fi Water Leak Detectors mainly as a precaution around the basement, sump pump, and utility area, and they already proved their value. A few weeks after setting them up, our sump pump failed during heavy rain and the detector sent an alert to my phone almost immediately. I was able to get downstairs and deal with the problem before the pit overflowed and flooded the basement. That alone made these worth every dollar. Setup was straightforward, and the Wi-Fi connection has been stable so far. Notifications come through quickly, and the app makes it easy to see which sensor triggered. I also like that the alarm on the unit itself is loud enough to hear if you’re in the house, but the phone alert is what really makes the difference when you’re not home. Build quality seems good, and the sensors are small enough to place anywhere you might have a leak risk - sump pump, water heater, under sinks, behind the washing machine, etc. Battery installation was simple and the app walked through pairing without much trouble. If you own a home with a basement, sump pump, or anything that could leak, I highly recommend these. Mine already prevented what could have been a very expensive mess, and that makes this one of the easiest 5-star reviews I’ve written.

Very sensitive, I got lots of false alarms when it was placed on bare, seemingly dry concrete. Solved this by putting it on a thin piece of cardboard (that will inevitably get wet and trip it when an actual leak occurs.) So maybe not the best option for a basement, but works well in other places, like under my sink.

Works great. I installed under our AC and it alerted me to a clogged condensate line after only a tiny amount of water had dripped down.

My experience and opinion. I purchased a few of their smoke detectors and smoke / carbon monoxide detectors combos a few years ago. 4 to 6 total smoke and C0 and 4 water leak detectors. The smoke carbon monoxide detectors are worthless as I had a stove fire in my home and none of them went off. Very dangerous and concerning. I have also tested them with actual smoke and no alarm goes off. The smaller smoke only detectors work but wont send you a notification any more as their app will no longer support them. My house could have been burnt down do to these product failures. The last two carbon monoxide/ smoke alarm combo units would not connect to their app so apparently they no longer support them??? Not impressed and the leak detectors when tested side by side of a competitors (Yolink) x sense don't function nearly as well. I cannot recommend products that lack customer service (they should replace all of my units for free), poor support, quick obsolescence (will no longer work with current app), unreliability and a potential safety hazard due to products not working how they should and are advertised. No function/ notification = no peace of mind and results in little confidence in their protection.

Alerted me to a leak while I was at work. Was able to get home just before it became a disaster. Easiest thing in the world to set up and use! The instruction manual is teeny weeny, so be ready!
